Is like saying Elune worked with Xavius to kill Ysera and send her to Ardenweald.
People are trying to take the blame off Sylvanas or the Horde. She didn’t guide (as much as I know) Sylvanas to Teldrassil, that was her on her own will. What Elune did was, aside from preventing the Night Elves feel pain, send them directly to her sister, where, according to the Night Elves we saved, they are happy there.
You’d ask why she didn’t intervene? No idea, she didn’t intervene when the Legion invaded or when the Horde invaded either, she didn’t arrive when Archimonde was there. Elune doesn’t intervene. Actually, no god does, you don’t see a god holding the hand of their devoted and carrying them around all the time, if that happened, there’d be no Horde today.
You can question her from not intervening, but saying she burned Teldrassil is crazy. But Elune might’ve saved many Night Elves from going to Bastion, Maldraxxus or Revendreth as well, which are terrible afterlives.
The only thing that might make me think she burned Teldrassil is because that’d make Sylvanas more innocent, and I see the story capable of that.
Aside from that, no.
Yeah, she didn’t burn Tendrassil. Sylvannas and Jailer did. Elune simply saved the souls or tried to. And you can’t expect a goddess or deity to step into a direct struggle - that’s a cop out that should never happen.
Thats headcanon right there…we simply do not know. In fact there’s more evidence to support that she actually allowed sylvanas to burn the tree…even prevented tyrande to enact revenge on her.
No, not really. If were going by that logic, where were all the loas when the zandalari needed help against alliance(besides Bwosandi - and only because of a deal). Bad writing 101 to have deities give you a way out of a tragedy, then you’ll depend on deities to save you everytime.
I mean, Sylvanas was under orders of another god and empowered by him. You can’t call it a cop out when the story involves interacting, saving and fighting the gods.
He was still giving her the benefit of the doubt in that he thought she’d be sending the Shadowlands an army… but still pretty on point, for the most part. The real writing was just a little worse.
You don’t understand either, Elune didn’t know about the maw taking all the souls. The jailer is the ultimate one responsible for it all. Sylvannas is not a victim, she was an accomplice. She showed emotions without the missing half of her soul.
So you wanted her to land on Azeroth and kill the Horde or shoot beams from the heavens? When has she shown to be able to do that?
Sylvanas, the one who don’t like to serve, served Elune to burn Teldrassil?
What is headcanon? That she didn’t guide Sylvanas there? Where is the proof she did? Also, how do we know she didn’t decide to do it after they died instead of planning like a cartoon villain that she’d have them die and send them there?
I don’t really consider the Jailer a god so far, all he’s done is spawned chains on people, summoned tons of maw forces, and…made hard to understand when he talks. He hasn’t shown any signs of being a god.
Did you skip the last raid of legion? Or that time when Elune gave us a tear of Elune, one, twice or thrice? She just wanted to turn night elves into moth-humans.
