Hey, I’m bored at work so I’m perusing the forums, but as I’m scrolling, there is negativity in literally EVERY thread. So, this thread is to start a chain of positivity about Shadowlands because I personally am loving it. I will flag you if you post something negative.
I’ll start. I am LOVING Castle Nathria.

The Torghast interiors are stunning, I think. I can’t help look around that place and think “…how is this?!”
Also, once again, love the music.

Most people just talk about what they dont’t like hoping to rally people together and make blizz change something, which is usually doesn’t work anyway lol.
That aside, I really like the dungeon designs. The addition of the covenant specific mechanics is really interesting and promotes bringing specific covenants to your group and helps give the dungeons a different feel in compared to bfa.

Something Positive:
No ocelots were killed in the making of ShadowLands
That’s all I got!

The art and sound teams did a really good job, but they usually do imo. Love the feel of the inside of CN.

Torghast is somewhat fun.
Everything else though is timegated. Loot drops are garbage. Only decent way to get gear is rated pvp. What the hell
Best expansion since Wrath!

i continue to love the new leveling cap. simply adding 10 levels each expansion was starting to lose its meaning.
i also love wow’s more fantastical zones, so naturally i find ardenweald to be pretty amazing. the tree is especially incredible

Zone design and aesthetics are amazing.
Castle Nathria is a ton of fun.
Sire Denathrius is a great character.
This story is infinitely better than 4th War Arc.

I love how generous the mining and herbing nodes get as you level up gathering professions!

The art department, as usual, knocked it out of the park. Their design work is awesome.

I’ll divide this into different categories:
I’m not gonna talk about the “gorgeous art and sound” or raids because those are the gold standard of WoW which have never failed to impress. Those two categories alone are worthy of Great.
The Good
- Alts have more ways to level up and catch up with Renown. Plus people who don’t want to step into higher level content have a alternative which was time gated by Covenant sets which are almost close to Normal Raid.
- Threads of Fate is definitely a interesting option to choose your way to level although it’s limited.
- PvP gearing for beginners is extremely accessible when you go for Honor and Conquest. High levels are obviously available through better rating.
- The great vault is controversial but brings the Weekly Chest which was exclusive only to Mythic+ and PvP to Raiding and allows you to follow the content you want to do.
- Torghast is insanely fun when the game actually decides to give you multiple Anima choices and proper powers. Plus it’s more accessible to casuals when lower layers drop the maximum Soul Ash for legendaries.
- Legendaries can be targetted instead of being at the mercy of RNG and lower level 1 and level 2 armor are easily obtainable.
- Mission table is no longer a big part of the game. But offers a optional activity which is I guess decent.
- We were told reputation is no longer a big part of getting flying and renown which we are unlocking every week is a big part of it which is good.
- Anima, the main currency isn’t as tightly tied to player power as Artifact Power or Azerite which is a good thing.
Okay
- The storyline wasn’t great but it’s not bad either. They could have done better but it’s decent I guess.
- Allowing Alts to skip the storyline in Threads of Fate is brilliant but they are handicapped with having little dungeons to choose from in the dungeon finder.
- Covenant storylines are a welcome change from forced writing in BFA but some of them are disjointed or make you feel like you’re doing a bunch of random storylines.
- The covenant system upgrades are interesting but most of them offer not much motivation to get them unlocked.
That’s all I’ve got so far

Art is good
Vault is a major upgrade
PvP currency
Dgs are great
I like the tower(even though i think another soul ash source should be avaiable but have a weekly cap so people that dont like the tower dont fall behind)
I do enjoy 3 of the convenants and their specific advantages, makes everythign less homogenized.
Denathrius fight was really, really enjoyable and CN is really cool.
I can make a good amount of money with profs even after 1 month in the exp.
Easy to keep up with other players.
No major increased creep power between heroic/mythic raid or rival/gladiator

Easy to get geared as a casual player thanks to covenant gear.
