The Flame-something Hippogryph - that doesn’t seem as flammable as the Firelands one. Has anyone seen this thing and is it cool?

I personally didn’t know it existed until I saw the drop announcement. Seems okay, just old. I’ve never seen anyone with it to my knowledge. And if it’s uncollected it doesn’t show in the mount log so no way in game to saw what it’d look like with your toon.

It is slightly different from the firelands version. It seems to have different colored eyes and no armor.

You can check uncollected in the filters on the mount log.
I just don’t see it. Not Collected is checked, TCG is checked, Promotion is checked, as is unusable just in case.
Well that’s odd. Chalk it up to small indie company I guess.
I put in a bug report just in case. Happens with no addons too.
The TCG version doesn’t have flaming wings but the flames on its tail and back feet are the same as the firelands one. It also doesn’t have armor.
Hey there, I currently own it and can say that yes it looks old yadda yadda, BUT it’s still one of the cooler mounts in my opinion. 
It has a nice little fiery glitter trail that comes from its hooves/tail. And can show it in game if you’d like*

I don’t get what the portal toy does.
Hearthstone toy. Its like the TBC portal toy but with the ethereal portal animation instead.

I like to think of it as the “burnt out” version of the Firelands hippogryph. It’s lower poly, no wing flames and a darker color.
Truthfully I prefer the modern higher polygon hippogryphs, but it’s my favourite version of the old hippogryph model (I use it on a less-played alt)
( I have always mentally grouped hippogryph skins into two different eras believing there were different models, but skimming the mount journal, I’m suddenly wondering if that might actually just be in my head?)

Ah yes I know when I want to see what something looks like I go to the WoW forums and ask for a description written in text, so I can vaguely imagine what it must appear like instead of taking less time than it took to make a thread and google image search or just thrown the name on youtube and quickly look at one of the countless videos to see exactly what I’m asking for to begin with.
