Saving Hati – Another “Forgotten Detail” in Legion Remix

So, the wife and I were digging around trying to figure out what’s going on with Saving Hati in Legion Remix… Wait for it… and, surprise surprise, Blizzard seems to have dropped the ball again on the finer details.

After some searching, we finally found the answer but of course, it only works after you leave Remix. Because why make it simple or consistent, right?

If anyone else is banging their head against this, the folks over at Petopia actually have it explained perfectly:

Since we cannot post links, here are the steps -

  1. Go to wow-petopia
  2. Go to Guides
  3. Go to Saving Hati!

Maybe one day Blizzard will remember the small stuff that makes the game world feel complete… until then, thank the community for doing their job for them.

Quoted from the Petopia aricle you referenced for the quest Saving Hati- Patch 8.1.5 introduced a quest chain that allows you to rescue Hati’s fragmented essences and reform him.

Patch 8.1.5 was with the release of Battle for Azeroth.

Exactly and that’s kind of the whole point of my post. A ton of players keep asking “Where’s Hati?” like it’s some new mystery, when really it’s just another case of Blizzard leaving out the details. My wife and I hit the same wall, did the digging, and found the answer so others don’t have to.

So yeah, Patch 8.1.5… after Legion Remix. That’s why you don’t get Hati right now. The Petopia guide lays it all out once you’re out of Remix, so new Hunters can stop wondering if it’s bugged and actually get their companion back.

Because apparently, clear communication wasn’t included in this remix.

Why would they need to make this clear. It was NOT a part of legion at all. Why does blizzard need to give details about something that was not available in legion, in legion remix..

Wait… what? Hati was part of Legion. That’s literally where he came from. Beast Mastery Hunters got him through their artifact weapon, Titanstrike, at Legion’s launch. You couldn’t play BM Hunter in Legion without him, he was basically your second pet on autopilot.

The Saving Hati questline didn’t show up until BfA (Patch 8.1.5), sure but that was just the follow-up after he got nuked along with the artifact weapons. The story, the bond, the entire concept of Hati? All Legion.

That’s what makes the confusion in Remix so obvious — Blizzard dusted off Legion, called it a Remix, but forgot to mention that one of the most recognizable class companions from Legion wasn’t coming with it.

But hey, expecting Blizzard to clearly communicate class-specific content in an event literally named after the expansion it came from might be asking too much these days.

There is no confusion. The quest was never in Legion. Everyone that played during Legion, knew the storyline, knew that Hati would disappear after Titanstrike was decommissioned, as Hati was tied to the weapon. You didn’t get Hati unless you had Titanstrike equipped. By the end of Legion, there were enough people that were tired of having to run with it, that they were either unequipping Titanstrike, or transmoging it, to keep from being forced to play with Hati - the companion.

There was enough interest after Legion to have Hati become a pet you could tame; that Blizzard added the quest in BfA, and let you tame it in it’s original colors and all the color variations of it. Blizzard announced the quest in BfA, it was never a big secret. To me that looks like Blizzard read the feedback, and responded to what the playerbase wanted.

I for one was glad we didn’t get saddled again with it in remix. That thing wasn’t even on autopilot. Had a mind of it’s own, aggro’ed everything in sight, but that’s a discussion for another thread.

You kind of just made my case for me there.

You said players didn’t like being “saddled” with Hati in Legion… yet Blizzard literally brought him back in BfA because so many people did love him and wanted him as a permanent pet. That’s not exactly the mark of an unpopular feature.

Which circles right back to why people are asking about him now. Hati was born in Legion, tied to the Beast Mastery artifact and then saved in BfA because of community demand. So when Blizzard launches Legion Remix, people naturally expect to see, or at least hear mention of, one of the expansion’s most iconic companions.

That’s why a little communication from Blizzard would’ve gone a long way. Players who know the history aren’t confused — it’s the ones coming back or experiencing Legion content for the first time through Remix who are left wondering what happened.

But hey, I get it, Blizzard’s idea of “clarity” usually shows up a patch or two late.

Odd I saw someone with Hati ( as the name is reserved) in the remix. They where pretty low lvl too.

Thank you for that information. I would bet that they would have had to rename the pet Hati, because the quest is unobtainable because we are time lined. I will get on my Hunter in Remix and give it a try to rename it Hati.

Hati is a reserved name that can not be give to pets. the hunter I saw with it was pretty low lvl so they could not have have the later BM talent that spawns Hati ether.

Till I saw that I thought Hati was just not in Lemex due to the talent changes.
