i was wondering, for the saved by the light talent in shadowlands, does the absorb effect only work for allies or can it also work if the beacon is on yourself? i was reading what appeared to be the older saved by the light talent in an older expansion, i’m not sure which one it was, but it mentioned you OR an ally in the talent’s description, however for the shadowlands version, it doesn’t mention you, it only mentions an ally.
also i’ve been seeing other people mention aura of seasons, but i did not see this listed in the wowhead ability section for shadowland paladins. also, i don’t understand what aura mastery does when it says empower your chosen aura for 8 secs? like what exactly does that do, if you have concentration aura for example?
i personally do not like the changes so far for paladins, particularly in the case of holy paladin, which is what i play and want to, but the changes are not looking well for me. for one, the holy power part being one of the major issues. i know that they find a way to balance it by lowering the mana cost of some things, but at the expense of increasing them for others, but that’s an issue in itself, because it assumes that you’ll be working with everything or almost everything, and that’s a problem, if your playstyle isn’t like that and / or it’s too complicated for you, as it is for me, specifically with the holy power spending part.
an example of the balancing effect is making light of dawn free now in mana, but then crusader strike costing 12 percent mana. it assumes your rotation is somehow connecting / synergizing one thing with another, when that may not be the case, at least for me. the only holy power ability in particular that i’d like to use in my rotation so far is seraphim, and even for that, i’m trying to see if i can macro it somehow with another ability, although, unlikely to be a practical option since the ones that would macro well with it are on GCD, so i may need to add it in the abilities bar.
i also can’t use more than one abilities bar because it makes it too difficult / complicated for me to play, so for any class i play, i’ll need to only have the left middle bar and assume i can fit all the necessary abilities there.
