I agree, I am only targeting healers because the queue times need to come down and that’s one way to do it. But I wouldn’t mind a similar system that I proposed to go for all specs after you’ve reached a specific ilvl with 1 character
Exactly this
First, unrated casual PvP should normalize gear somewhat to start with, not to nerf those who have good gear so much as to bring up the floor of survivability for the lost little lambs in their first BGs
Drop prices on PvP gear and boost currency gain in general
Do the Warband discount thing for PvP gear. If I buy a conq chest on one toon, conq chests should be discounted on my whole warband
Same with the weapon achievement, do it on one and unlock purchase on all
And finally, bring back unrated blitz so people can learn the maps and enjoy the mode without playing rated
This is such a good idea.
I am lazy so I upgrade the PvE ilvl of my PvP gear and I love that I can get discounts on doing this if I already got a piece of PvE gear that was better, so I think it would work well for PvP gear too.
Would also make it easier to get different gear on your main for different specs or builds too.
The bloody tokens crap shouldn’t even exist, it just complicates things.
Just keep honor and conquest gear, and make them upgradable with honor.
For example,
honor gear: i665 (0/8) → ilvl 689 (8/8)
conquest gear: ilvl 678 (4/8) → ilvl 690 (8/8)
They could, let alts buy gear at a discount for every slot equiped on another character of max pvp item level, that sounds alt friendly and would help everyone gear more characters faster from instanced pvp, including healers, but gear isn’t a challenge for anyone to acquire now with raid crate farms. So we need to look at healer incentives that are not gear related as gear is basically free for everyone if they crate farm, and is not too large of a throughput increase as geared healers can be the largest deciding factor between a win and a loss already.
What do healers want more of that they dont already get? Mobility? More CC DRs?Something that will make them queue more, but not make them reach their CR goals too fast as they might stop queuing earlier.
Imo, would like to see them only used as currency for toys/cosmetics/mounts. Keep the limiter to have more engagement metrics but get rid of the gear.
Add a vendor with some pvp flag toys, better potion and flask options for pvpers, expensive recolor of previous seasons pvp mounts, full body cosmetics, like recolors of previous pvp season glad gear for something to grind toward.
an easier one, all gear without any restriction, scales in PvP to max ilvl
oh boy…
I mean… there’s a dozen threads like this and they’re all pretty bad idea, tbh.
huh? why? Healing output isn’t the problem, for most specs.
again… huh? why?
so healing specs can only have sockets and enchantments? huh?
This would only make healers have more output, and dps have less dps. People don’t like to heal, and making it even harder for things to die wouldn’t make people want to suddenly start healing… nor would it make people less toxic about it.
My feedback is delete this thread. this is a terrible idea… one of the worst I’ve heard, really.
Crate farming is not a solution
One should not be required to do side content in order to participate in main content
One should be able to gear at a reasonable pace in the content one wishes to play
No one is asking m+ players to do wq to get m+ level gear
I don’t heal because the average DPS has the situational awareness of a rock.
just stop this stupid threads…its raining gear in dornagol!!! you literally cant help but trip over pvp gear. press que. have fun.this game cannot possibly get any easier!!
Just because getting gear is fast doesn’t mean there couldn’t be improvements for catching up if you’re behind.
Or even if you are like me, rotating between 5-7 toons depending on my mood
so then we should all just play wearing loincloths. right? by your reasoning why even have gear just everyone go in buck newd.
Blizzard could fix pvp by simply caring and also cleaning up the toxic community.
What’s your suggestion for making healing more appealing? You seem to have a passion for this, so I assume you can come up with a solution. The current situation isn’t working.
Healing is in the easiest and most powerful state it has ever been in: Plethora of instant casts, CC durations nerfed heavily, every class having self-healing makes the role less stressed, get-out-of-jail-free cards benefit them the most, critical damage (massive bursts) is nowhere near as potent anymore, dampening as a band-aid solution was built entirely because of them… I could go on. What more could possibly be asked for?
There will ALWAYS be a lack of healers because of one simple fact: most players don’t want to play healers. It’s really that simple. Making healing more appealing won’t change this.
Also, gearing for PvP is the easiest it’s ever been… why is this supposedly still an issue?
True
Also true that it is still tediously slow to gear in the content itself
more conq in the box you get, for starters. You could probably increase honor gain as well. Healing isn’t going to be appealing to people who don’t want to do it… best they can do is bribe them better. “you want to gear your dps faster? and crate farming is lame?.. well play a healer”
I don’t, actually… I’m just not willing to call any idea a good idea… sometimes doing nothing is better than doing something bad.
I don’t think my solution I offered would help much… but it might get some to do it… At the end of the day, healing just kind of sucks to people… and your teammates in RSS tend to make it worse.
