Save alleria's appearance

She looks like a generic b/velf hunter, you can find a dozen like her in both Stormwind and SMC at peak hours on any given day. The look is fine for a player or a secondary character but for a headliner it’s just, idk, boring?

Yeah, people keep forgetting it’s just art. We got the same for Jaina, too. They looked nothing like the in game models.

I mean yeah she’s probably not going to look perfectly identical to her key art (but also pixie cut has been an option for blood elves since like BC so it’s not impossible to build the look with in-game assets already)

I do think the key art is a slight improvement over her standard look in that if you’re going to turn her into an A lister she should at least have an actually unique model (also am I dreaming or is the pic in the thread from before she does the Locus Walker questline based on the green eyes)

She doesn’t have a pixie cut in the art, though?

Interesting turn of events suddenly.

She is sporting a basic A-Line which has been a hairstyle for women since forever. It comes and goes out of fashion. Often gets mixed in with music trends, most seen in the 80s and 90s, and slowly coming back with the resurgence of new wave becoming trendy again.

Edit. Now to convince a Blizz Artist to make Jaina rock an Emily the Strange baby Tee while rocking Mammoth JNCO jeans and my head canon fantasy will be complete.

eh? What’s an a-line? The key art looks like this:

Can’t say I’ve seen many women with a hairstyle like that. Outside of like…viking stuff?

I cannot understand why some very basic visual story telling in a character expansion design has become such a magnet as the new trendy troll. She’s honed her void powers/connection since last we saw her - that’s being visually shown to us with her new design. It’s not that crazy to understand. :man_shrugging:

A-Lines have SO many variants since the 90s. It usually is the front is longer than the back, being at either a short to sharp angle. But can incorporate the bangs at a sharp angle many (not all, but many) have called it an A-Line.

Could be more do to regional / locations. My area, Pixie cuts, bobs and bangs are uncommon, while braids, from french to box styles are popping up. Hell, my haircut that been the same since the 90s (Foxtail, and undercut with the rest pulled back into a high ponytail) been sprouting back up.

I just see it as hair is hair. Long as it isn’t living and trying to eat me alive, rock what weird strings of fiber growing out of your scalp all you want.

LMFAO!

Hot take:

Alleria was always mid so getting middier isn’t a big deal.

It reminds me of the “how can we tell the dragon is a lady without putting long eyelashes and a ribbon on it” genre of people being unable to handle even a smidgen of variation in looks

JNCO Jeans with Tommy Hilfiger Sandals and socks will fix that up real quick.

That and like people change hair styles all the time especially for new vibes / eras which a 3 story arch expansion would suggest was the case.

I just wish that translated to player customization as well, like when they changed sylvanas to have blue eyes, we still can’t separate red eyes from the undead skin tone :sob:

Her hair looks longer than that.

Alleria is a void elf, it makes sense to give her a new model after she decided to embrace the void and wanting to learn to control it.

Turalyn should leave her.

An outfit change is not really “evolving” by itself.

I want that too, in star cursed blues!!!

And maybe she could wear her old green armor for ceremonial occasions and the like. I mean, people do change clothes, and many people seem very attached to her old look.
