Came back into SL content to just get enough renown for flying…
remembered why I didn’t enjoy SL open world stuff.
Whoever thought up of that can go away from this game, not lose their job, but jeez, go work on Diablo mobile. This isn’t good gameplay stuff, like they phoned it in.
Rant I know, and I get others tolerate it. Just sheesh this kind of design sucks.

I’m kind of hoping to find a main to stick with and get into progression or else this all kinda feels pointless for me at least [incl. that stygia, which wasnt a lot since i don’t do them weekly, not enough hate for myself to do such things]
Good news Khronys. I spoke with Ion Hazzikostas personally, and he has agreed to remove the Renown tie-in for souls in 9.1. Instead, you will earn that point of Renown doing activities in Korthia each week.
It does? That’s ok but doesn’t make up for how just meh that whole thing feels like. I don’t need the stygia items from vendor. I’m just that outcast player. Hopefully I get into the swing of things finally where this mundane design actually matters.

Could of been done much better than what it is now.
This is just lazy filler style gameplay that doesn’t add anything to my fun or entertainment. Nor does it really add any real fantasy sense to why I’m doing it 20 at a time lol… it’s lazily implemented to waste my time.

They have to give some sort of number. From my understanding, the reason we began at a smaller number was because our covenant lacked the anima to fuel the crystal enough. So we built it up until we could gather more.
There’s always a gameplay mechanic for quests. That number is for the gameplay as a cutoff for the quest. It’s not lore that we’re only bringing back 20.

Like I said, that’s fine for those that need something… it’s maximizing time for reward.
I know what you mean but I looked at it like ‘’, 5, 10, 20’’ huh… it’s just not that great in terms of gameplay. It’s so bleh that while I’m not against people who enjoy it or need to do it for rewards so they don’t mind it… I just think FOR ME it’s a thing where I reflect why I bother lol.
Saving souls should of been a story thing, not a quest mechanic… it lends itself to the already boring ‘gather bear butts, and poop’ quests. The MaW for me feels like such a lame filler… they had it empty before and said they were ok with it 'till feed back came in and they delayed to fill in the maw.
Agree. My complaint is that it’s just such a phoned in quest in a zone I already hate.
