Great video discussing the differences between Saurfang and Sylvanas.
The only ones not honorable are Sylvannas, Nathanos, and anyone who serves the lich queen.
Yeah, I’m not going to watch that.

While I don’t disagree that Sylvanas isn’t honorable, but neither is Saurfang.
Betraying one’s faction because of the Warchief’s perceived dishonor is not honorable. Mak’gora is a thing, if and when Sylvanas cheats or declines the challenge, then he and his fellow Orcs with Orcish honor gets to rebel. But to openly defy Sylvanas? To seek aid from the enemy? Sorry, Saurfang is no longer part of the Horde. He is the Alliance whipping dog.
Sylvanas genuinely doesn’t care about honor. She cares about winning and loyalty. That is why she makes for a great general but not so much a good leader of the Horde. Too many conflicts of interest. Sylvanas is as Sylvanas does. In her eyes she’s saving the Horde by crushing her enemies. All of her enemies. Without mercy. Potential Old God influence in the form of a certain dagger doesn’t help things.
The difference is Sylvanas has never claimed to be honorable. She has always been about the ends justifying the means. No one should be surprised, as this trait is common to both Forsaken and Blood Elves. They have always been different from the “traditional” Horde.
A Mak’gora against an undead? Who would be stupid enough to try that? Besides Saurfang that is.
Sylvanas did nothing wrong.
But Durotan stood up to Guldan when he was being evil! Saurfang’s just like him! Except he’s going behind Sylvanas’ back… After he tried to suicide himself twice… And now he’s hiding somewhere… He’s a saint!
Also Baine.
Ah yes, another elf talking about horde honor, strangely its a blueberry one
Saurfang is not wrong, Baine is not wrong, they would not do what they did if she was not a sociopath with mental issues who is ruining the faction.
Baine is wrong though. Baine is ok with killing horde members to protect an alliance corpse? How is that honorable?
Why did you even bother commenting then lol…
Loved that video I watched it the day it came out on my lunch break .it has brought up every point I have ever said about saurfang and it’s not an April fool’s video or a biast against the goodie two shoes horde video just the facts
Lmao
Picky, picky.
Good point, lmao.
I’ve yet to see a single one of these traitors follow our laws, and commit to a Mak’gora. Not even Saurfang, who wants to simply die at the Horde’s expense. No, instead they will shed Horde blood and help the Alliance during the most critical points of a time of war, not even when Sylvanas commits her most despised “atrocities”, they bide their time for the chance when they can perform a low blow to their Warchief.
Dear potential reply, you might argue that Sylvanas would cheat during a Mak’gora. She’s smart enough to know that if she did, the Horde would instantly turn against her. Saurfang and Baine are smart enough to know that Sylvanas is smart enough to know this. This makes Saurfang and Baine, real and undeniable cowards. However, if you don’t like this idea, chime into the tune of the mob mentality that is the rest of the Horde leaders disapproving of Sylvanas’ actions.
It’s a good video, but I have some issues with it.
His concept on Honor is a little skewed, like when Saurfang gave his axe to Malfurion he saw it as interrupting a duel, not saving his Warchief. The second betrayal of the Blood Elves was done by the Horde but he made it come out as if the Alliance did it. There is more but I took it as Sylvanas fanboying, granted I have not seen his video on Sylvanas yet.
As a side note, that political backlash from “cheating” only really happens if it can be proven … and if it can’t it traditionally serves to only reinforce the Warchief you were attempting to replace (and your ideals die with you). Just look at Cairne, how’d that go for him? Agreed to a Duel to the Death with Garrosh because Garrosh was risking an opportunity for lasting peace with the Alliance … ended up reinforcing Garrosh’s rule for an expansion and a half; and allowed for Magatha to have her Grimtotem go raiding through TB and Mulgore.
Saurfang (nor Baine for that matter) can defeat Sylvie in a Mak’Gora; because with how terrified she is of her own afterlife, if she thought even for a second either of those fools could win by pure luck … she’d find a way to cheat that would be absurdly difficult to prove (thus reinforcing her authority over the Horde). Get their hands on the Axe of Cenarius or Fearbreaker … maybe they might up their chances of winning; then we’ll talk.
There are witnesses. Nothing is really undetectable, even poison on Garrosh’s blade was found easily.
But he is surely more honorable than any other Horde character (besides Baine)
