Just got done reading a pretty in depth article about elves in warcraft and how each came to be. Along the way I was reading about how a certain group of kaldorei got corrupted and became satyrs. Pretty cool
Do you think they could ever be an allied race? And if so which faction would they fit in best with?
I know they’re evil - but with all the folks suggesting naga (who are equally if not more vile than satyrs) being a new playable race - I guess it could fit!

I actually just looked at the satyr art for reforged and didn’t realize how amazing they look.
Like I said I never even looked at them as cursed elves til recently but you’re right on the money…these models are incredible. Haven’t seen the female one yet though

I’d imagine they’d be banned from being Druids because I couldn’t imagine Elune trusting them enough to allow them willingly into the emerald dream…I could be wrong though lol
I’d rather be a horse, so dryads get my vote.
I would love dryads/keepers/centaurs or cenarions too tbh. Really long overdue just like ogres

Not gonna lie. I’m a bit upset of the female aspect being added. I love Satyr and I love the mythology of it that they are a race based on males.
I know WoW is of course different and turns a theme to its whim, but we’ve known of Satyr since WC3 and the idea of them rather grew on me.
I like the idea of ‘singular sex’ or even ‘non-sex’ races, because it moves beyond the boring and normal concepts we know, like a Satyr or Harpy. Not anymore it seems.
Guess i’m waiting for those male harpies next…
Satyrs are a race. Are they playable? No. Should they be playable? No. Same with other deformed elves like Naga.
But we already have sexy goat people.
I guess they could join the Horde since we own the Night Elf area now.
If we put up enough of a stink we could pressure Blizz in to giving us the Faun from the Night Fae.

Draenei are similar to Satyr to be honest.
Dryad and Groove Keepers would be cool.
OP take a look at the ardenweald race coming in shadow lands. The main faction are satyrs in all but name.
