Satellite internet?

You want cable mostly because satellite is incredibly unstable especially in bad weather.
Some cable co. will apply a signal amp if you ask which can give you an extra bump.

When I had satellite, this is what I did. I had BARELY enough bars for a 3G connection, but it worked. I went from 800 MS to 110 MS. Wow barely uses data, so you’re good on that. The patches WILL kill you, but you can always use McDonalds data ^o^!

Hmm I feel like I’ll burn through 30g of 4 G super fast…but I’m not sure.

But I guess as you say, 3g should be fine.

Oh no, on good days I had LTE available for WoW as well. I used MAYBE 25 MB a day on WoW I think? 25 to 30 or so. You’re looking anywhere from about 3 to 6 GBs a month, and that all depends on how many hours you play ^-^!

Don’t pay for a hotspot. You can tether your phone for decent internet, as long as you have good cell coverage in your area. Download Easytether to your phone from an app store, then download the respective driver from their website http://www.mobile-stream.com/easytether/android.html for the phone you have. I had to game on mobile internet for awhile. I would seriously consider the cable internet first, but mobile internet can be very decent.

O wait I got confused, you’re saying you only use 25 megabytes…and I’ll have 30 gb…
So if I play 2 hours a day…I might be good…

Honestly? I’d take dialup over satellite, just for reliability reasons.

Tether your phone to your PC easytether, don’t worry about limits. If you have good 4g coverage in your area, it’s actually pretty decent.

If you have a 30GB cell phone plan or a 30GB LTE plan for a hotspot, you’ll absolutely have more than enough for WoW.

You could go to 10GB per month for a hotspot and you’d STILL have 2-4 GB leftover at the end of the month, and that’s WITH heavy playtime

I do have good coverage…Can I just get an unlimited data plan through my phone, and work it like that?

Exactly this. If you have say, Verizon (NON PREPAID) just plug your phone into your PC via USB, switch your hotspot to on, and bam - you’re connected on your PC to the LTE network  (just make sure your connection is on a METERED CONNECTION so it doesn’t start downloading stuff :x!!!

if you wanted to sure!

Ugh is right! You could probably attach a flash drive to a pigeon and have it fly to the destination faster!

Yes. That’s precisely what you can do. Verizon unlimited plan, sprint unlimited plan, whichever carrier has the best coverage in your area.

Easytether will allow you to use your cell phones internet without restrictions. It’s pretty easy to do. When you install the app, it takes you through it step by step.

Lol…

Tethering might be the way to go…I’d probably need to upgrade the droid Z3…

And yeah tethering would be a lot cheaper…

I’d recommend getting the most advanced phone you can, the cell carriers change up their frequencies and transmission types faster than usain bolt.

if you are just talking wow that cable connection will be just fine. Sure downloading will be slower but actual gameplay = no problem.

If I remember correctly satellite is all about your down load but your upload is still thru a land line service. I would go with the slower cable as it will have better upload speeds and less effected by weather.

Can I use multiple devices with a tethered phone?
