Can’t understand given the still current significance of legion, in regards to reps for new races in BOA, and players who just enjoy leveling through every xpac, including completing professions they may not have previously gotten too, Blizzard has pretty much abandoned Legion. My topic of interest here is sargerite drops. Ive read countless wowhead comments and I’ve gleamed the following. people still want sargerites but can’t find them anymore. Supposed to accompany certain professions including skinning. I’ve skinned for hours and obtained none, even in the areas with the so called higher drop rates. Rarely I see a sargerite wq. Can you please return sargerites to a point we can get them. I’d really like to hit 100 in lw and open my mount recipe but Im stuck on 93.
Are you talking about primal sargerite? I just saw a champion mission for it yesterday and I believe it is only available from Argus WQs. However you also don’t need it to hit 100 Broken Isles Leatherworking. Keep an eye out for any LW WQs, which offer +1 Legion Leatherworking and the DMF returns Sunday and has +5 profession quests again, though I am not sure how it will apply to your skill (i.e. Legion, BfA, or another unfinished tier).
It raises your highest started-but-unfinished tier, so it will raise his BfA skill if he is not 150 yet, but it will go to his Legion skill if he is 150 in BfA or has not actually started BfA LW yet.
Now that I think about it should probably add that the DMF quests still require 75 in Classic skill to be offered, which is of course much more likely to trip people up now that you no longer need Classic skill to be leveling your professions.
And since I can, obligatory link to the easiest place to find out how to level up your professions to 75:
Yes, I’m referring to Primal sargerites. Evidently they used to be available as part of skinning, the toon I’ve been referring to has LW and skinning. I have noticed it is only available now in wq’s but they seem to be getting very rare as far as sargerites go. Btw, my skill in BFA LW’ing is around 103 since I have quite a few toons and haven’t gotten enough high end gear yet to scrap to max it out but would like to get my legion to 100 to open the mount recipe (It’s at 93). I’m embarrassed to say I don’t know what a DMF quest is but would like to know because it clearly would help me. And yes all my lower xpac lvl’s are maxed in LW up until legion.
Sorry, I failed to mention I am also templrforce who started the thread. This probably wasn’t the best named toon to reply to a thread on. Besides the fact that Templr is the LW toon I was referring to.
The Darkmoon Faire; it appears monthly on the first Sunday (ie it just started) and offers each character a once-a-month quest for each profession. They are a bit of a fiddle for those not used to them since some of them require you to bring some simple mats with you, or else you have to go back and get them.
Check out the Wowhead guide here:
Went to Darkmoone faire, did the quest, got 5 points on BOA not legion LW’ing. Any quests that will add on profession points will go to BOA. The joke is support says they are aware of the scarcity of Primal Sarregite so I should contact the developers. I would think if support knows this is the case, support woul dmean they contact the developers who obviously ignored me when I did what they said.
Primal Sagerite is not needed to cap Legion Leatherworking, plenty of players managed it prior to the introduction of Argus. BfA Leatherworking is also incredibly easy. Got my 110 druid leatherworker to 150 before Uldir dropped, and that was without skinning.
Try Googling the wow-profession guides for suggestions on leveling the profession. Also keep an eye out for Leatherworking WQs which offer a +1 to Legion LW on the Broken Isles and +1 to BfA LW in Kul’Tiras.
