San'layn hero talent

Why is this so underwhelming compared to Deathbringer?

San’layn is THE ULTIMATE blood-death knight fantasy!(personally) we self healing dead vampires with blood red eyes!

Please buff it even more :3 I would love to be San’layn and not get kicked from groups lol

Addition: Give us Deathknights some pure Vampire and Dracula tmog and make it sexy. I wanna run around as a smutty himbo vampire with red eyes. Please and thank you

Give San’layn Blood DK Door of Shadows, Swarming Mists to replace DnD and AoE Goredrinker where the DK slightly suspends in the air while moving

Tank shortage solved

I suspect the class designer balance San’layn on target dummies. Yes you do way more dmg at the cleave dummies when you don’t have to work to stay alive, but at the end overall dungeon dmg and single target boss dmg is still not worth the switch.

San’layn doesn’t do dmg mitigation as well as Deathbriner and require you to drastically alter play style to match the damage of deathbriner. Blood beast is such a random proc. Deathbriner feels so much more methodical in contrast.

At least dev made it easy for us to choose a hero talent by making only 1 good. I kind of wished each DK spec will have an optimal hero talent, but we’re left with 2 hero talent for 3 specs.

Yeah, healing from San feels like nothing at all. And the damage is super low. Bloodbeast procs rarely.

I don’t know how to fix this properly.
But personally, San should have dealt with Blood boil and death and decay.
Maybe have my DnD follow me around? And increased healing from blood boil.
Something like that, focusing more on Red, more on blood dk.

Isn’t it like 2% or 3% of max health when the ability procs? And I think blood beast is determined by damage done while it’s up.

Blood beast doesn’t really proc enough to be noticeable and the ability proc is pretty meh. I am a fan of the hero talent concept though.

It’s 2% of max HP. I would honestly spend that GCD on Death Strike.

Blood Beast has a chance to procs off of Vamp strike and only stays for 10 seconds.

My point is that neither Vamp Strike nor Blood Beast feels as effective or fun as pressing Reaper’s Mark and gaining those high numbers off Exterminate.

I’m baffled that they also didn’t bake some kind of multi-target Blooddinker proc + activation tied into Dark Transformaton or Bonestorm, into the core of the Hero spec.

It heals 1% health per use while leeching blade heals .25% per target hit, so guess whats better in AOE. Which is on par with fallen crusader rune and less than blood plague in aoe for healing.

You do get :
12% strength from crimson scourge
5% Physical DR and 5% more healing within death and decay
Increased CDR on Ice Bound Fortitude (3 sec reduction per thing you kill)

I would like to see them use something like an improved version of Mark of Blood:

Vampiric strike has a high chance to place Mark of Sanlayn on targets within 10yds. When you parry or dodge a melee attack by a target with Mark of Sanlayn you heal 10% of your total health over 3 seconds and stacks up to 4 times. 50% of all healing by Mark of Sanlayn explodes on your next Deathstrike.

That’s Diabolical. I love it.
Make it happen.
