A lot of people reported the issue with last season’s tier set bonus. Basically it would and does currently break stealth whenever rupture or crimson tempest ticks. It also forces you to be stuck in combat. Vanish doesn’t work either. They never fixed it or addressed it.
This is due to the additional nature damage bonus for last tier. It wasn’t part of the actual dot, it was another source of damage based on the dot.
Now the exact same issue exists with the “Sanguine Blades” talent.
Honestly, they just don’t care about this stuff anymore but I refuse to stop mentioning it.

Bump. This is extremely annoying. Also, the sudden demise proc removes stealth as well.

I think Mafic is probably right. His theory is these changes are stealthy balance changes they don’t want to talk about.
I’m personally convinced of this. Ever since DF the dmg Sin can put out with Master Assassin is too great to let go with IC. You can stealth in, tab garrote all over the place with a few good Ruptures, shiv, cloak, and vanish and do ABSURD damage.
Feels like Sanguine blades is potentially working as intended and is there to limit our capacity to do this while also providing substantial power for those who continue to fight outside of stealth after opening; closing the gap between this tactic and “regular” combat engagements where you aren’t sitting in stealth for the 30% crit chance boost.
It’s lame, but I get it. Especially in randoms where you can almost single handedly kill entire groups with the Mucus consumable giving you base crit (20ish%+30% from MA+30% from mucus).
Garrote crit ticks are already hitting for 75k+. If Sanguine Blades worked and didn’t unstealth you, we’d be nerfed to high heaven within hours.

Not a bad point. I mean, with the AOE damage assassination rogue can put out in a team fight I’d still play it even with this restealth issue just because the damage is so good.
It would be more of an issue with smaller fights, where getting a reset could be crucial.

I’m currently not seeing the bug, at least not on a training dummy. I am able to vanish and remain in stealth while Sanguine Blades ticks away.

In my testing it’s very inconsistent. I tested weeks ago at the onset of season 3, with and without sanguine blades. Sometimes it would break immediately. Sometimes after several seconds. Sometimes only when the dots dropped off.
It’s very strange. Currently I don’t run the talent and it seems to be fine. With the talent the longest I would remain stealthed after vanishing was about 10-20 seconds.
Other’s have commented that Sudden Demise procs will also break stealth, but I have not tested this.

Yes, it seems inconsistent but of course it has to be consistent since it is driven by code - we just don’t know what the exact conditions are that cause it.
I have experienced the same thing. It has even seemed like a proximity to target issue sometimes where the stealth held until I came closer to the targets. Other times not, though. Rendering a video with some example that I’ll post here a bit later today.

This has just three examples, but this happens frequently as most of you would know. 
Sorry for the language, but I wanted to convey my authentic feels when this happens.
First one is mostly likely the dot talent.
Second one might be the dot talent, but to me it looks like sudden demise caused it.
Third one. Even after death, this will keep you in combat.

The breaking of stealth is definitely not as consistent as it was with last season’s tier set bug, but it still locks you in combat consistently on every tick.
I have a hard time believing this is an intentional effect given how it’s happening and how it’s only when you have sanguine talented.
Haven’t tested out sudden demise but wonderful to know there’s even more janky talents!

I agree with this. There have been times where I have seen the leaving combat/entering combat messages without it breaking stealth.

The bug has been addressed as well as well as some other Rogue like the Shadowed Finishers talent for sub not working but is now fixed. EDIT They put in under Player VS Player https://www.bluetracker.gg/wow/topic/us-en/1706063-wow-hotfixes-november-27/

Nice to see that it’s on their radar. I was going to say; I wouldn’t really think that it or the tier set bug from last tier were intentional design choices. That would be like saying that the Touch of the Grave leech destealth has also been an intentional design choice, and it obviously (?) isn’t.
Speaking of which, man, I wish they’d fix that.
