Sanguicell recipes are awful

if you’ve run out of useful anything for sanguicell this is fine

How about in the meantime though? Crafting should give you things you need, and a viable way to get them. The crafting in BfA has been some of the worst in WoW thus far.

Remember old WoW how it sent you out into the world and had you farm thematically accurate mats from thematically accurate mobs like spider silk from… spiders! The current model just has us to to the same location, kill the same boss about a hundred times and then craft an item. By the time we can actually craft that item we will have learned to hate crafting and the dungeons.

I really thought this mght be about the sanguicell in the new cooking recipe. Isn’t it like a battery or something?

Sanguicell will be effectively defunct when Dazar Alor raid comes out. The mythic dungeon crafted starts a 385, and goes to 400 then 415 ilvl with Breath of Bwonsamdi. If I had enough to make 385 legs or belt I would but I just got a 390 out of an emissary cache and no one is a raiding right now (that I normally run with)

I was really hoping for a hydrocore transmute. Kind of silly that these crafting material comes from mythic+ runs, I mean who the hell is using a cauldron in 5 man content anyways?

Hydrocore is going away from mythics when Dazaralor comes out too. u can convert tidal cores to hydrocores though

Is that the new raid crafting material? God I hope so…

Breath of Bwonsamdi is the raid one, tidal core is mythic dungeons, everything has shifting ‘north’, the mythic gear starts at 385, then raids are 400 and finally 415

Which is why I don’t understand the new sanguicell cooking recipes. Unless you have a crafting profession that can convert breath of Bwansamdi to sanguicell, those cooking recipes are going to be equally defunct in six weeks when the new raid comes out. Why introduce a sink for a nearly-defunct material?

If u still raid uldir sanguicell will still drop and if u have no crafting prof and raid Dazar’alor u at least can convert breaths into sanguicells for food.

So I still have to run 5 man content for crafting mats for raid based consumables. Well if I can break them down into a decent amount of hydrocore I guess that is at least something.

Always had to run mythics for cauldrons before, that doesn’t seem to have changed.

But when the new raid comes out, there’s not going to be a reason for my raid group to continue running Uldir. And without a crafting profession, I have no conversion for bloods. At least, I didn’t see any indication the mining or herb trainers had a conversion for me. My leatherworker has a conversion, but since the mats are presumably still BoP, that doesn’t really do me any good. It seems like, if sanguicells are now a cooking mat, cooking should have gotten its own conversion.

Sanguicell food is just addendum food though iirc it’s no better than regular raid food. It’s just giving sanguicell a use.

Yeah, but it was going to save me a lot of fishing. I’d trade that midnight salmon lure for a net to catch redtail loach and frenzied fangtooth in.

I wouldnt say that it should give you things you need… but it should give you things that are useful. The problem with crafting, as is, is that most of the recipes have already gone past usefulness by the time you can get the skill and materials to actually craft them.

Sure, there are exceptions… mostly in the additive buff skills (Alchemy, Gemcraft, Enchantment)… but most items crafted by craft skills are essentially worthless.
