Sandstorm bugged

Everytime sandstorm is used the miss rate is 100% on following attack since update.

Not sure what you’re seeing. Late so I just only got in a couple of quick tests but my Anubisath used Sandstorm twice and his attacks on next turn hit normally.

I’m not sure about miss rate being 100%. But the rates in pet battle, when facing NPCs, are full of cheat. 10% chances that happens a lot to prejudice you, while 25% chances almost never happen to help you.

Also, the dmg of the Sandstorm should be nerfed. I guess they made this high so we can defead some NPC on archivment challenges, but other than that it hurts the game.

If I use iron starlette and try for a good 1shot it does almost as much DMG as sandstorm or call darkness.
Those two weather abilities also have no set up, short cooldowns, and negative feild effects.
Playing with a call darkness or sandstorm pet feels like taking a level 80 character into dragonflight.
I wish I could say all weather abilities are powerful, but if you compare them to others it’s not even near the same. A passive that makes dots last 1 more turn versus a passive that prevents all dots and and any DMG under a certain value…
If there was any balancing to be done it would be too those two abilities.

They just frankly BROKE those abilities when they almost doubled their power for no reason that any of us could understand. When was that? Start of SL? I forget. Were you playing then, when those two were valuable elements of gameplay?

Darkness and Sandstorm were both perfectly fine before that. I know some people, especially in PvP, really resent the added miss chance, but I think it’s a necessary element of the game. The miss chance is an old, old argument, but not relevant to the crazy base increase in power from 25 to 45.

It used to be that Darkness was a slightly high hit, but mostly it was a set-up for the Nocturnal Strike nuke that followed. Sandstorm was a slightly high hit, but mostly it dampened any multi-hit-weak-strikes against you, like from Stampede or Flurry. And that was good gameplay.

What sane logic could be used to justify making those both nukes and destroying the gameplay?
