Have you met the Silver Covenant?
There is a MAJOR faction imbalance. Blizzard knows who plays where and they know how to cater. Logistics aren’t fanon.
I can’t wait to see Tyrande make up excuses for why it was a bad thing for her people to resist the attack
I find it more important to point out that you admitted this all started for you on your end out of spite because you had trouble coping w the fact people had valid issue w infringement on a Horde race, so your whole request was born out of retaliation of that take something Horde players want
Now somewhere along the way you’ve convinced yourself its a legitimate request and thats the craziest part of it imo because you verbatim told us where you’re coming from but have now decided to believe your own rhetoric which is fine I guess but you don’t need to take it to the levels you do, but I suppose… thanks for the thread bumps when Blizzard sees the thread on their front page the title does contain where San’layn should go
The group that was formed in Wrath?
Lol, we get such good storylines that most of it has been repeated twice now with Garrosh and Sylvanas but sure, so yeah it’s so good.
It’s people who bug me on other media outside of the forums who I’ve blocked at this point and then come in and flood the thread. It’s a long time going at this point, and a long story.
If people have handled it maturely and agreed to disagree, we wouldn’t be here, but it escalated further and further a few months ago to the point where I’ve entirely lost my patience and am no longer going to be nice. At all.
As for customization, yeah, that would be nice. I’d love that or phoenix stuff for blood elves myself, there’s been a lot of cool stuff shared. Tattoos, piercings, and more hair options for blood elves would be lovely–scarring too.
“When Quel’Thalas left the Alliance, some high elves chose to remain with their allies over their kingdom, and to this day still support the Alliance”
Got that from Wowpedia. Like im not trying to be snarky here
Belves could get farstrider themed things, arcane themed things, and blood knight themed things. Dark Rangers and san’layn are good options as well, for a distinct them to make up for having to share their visual identity with void elves.
You mentioned the Silver Covenant specifically, in which case you should take a look at this from Tides of War:
Jaina knew that Vereesa was leader of the Silver Covenant, a presence the high elf herself had formed as a precaution against possible treachery from the Sunreavers, blood elves who had been granted permission to join the Kirin Tor.
SC was formed in Wrath, those others elves are unrelated.
Alliance people asked for a copy/paste of our race with our customizations and claimed it would improve people wanting to play that side, it didn’t and it doesn’t, enjoy the hole you dug yourselves.
Yes. A few high elves were jerks and didn’t help out their people in their moment of need.
The high elf race/country did however as a group leave the alliance. It’s like saying the US didn’t leave France after WW2 because a few guys went AWOL and decided to make a new life over there.
I also said they were in the alliance before classic first…
Maturely? No.
You have not been even a LITTLE mature. Passive aggression during debates is never okay, remotely.
You have made assumptions, you have called us selfish.
Fallyn, you don’t want a conversation, you just want to be right and when someone brings up a very valid point, you try and derail. You don’t know what we void elves want because you aren’t in our community and yet you speak for us at the same time.
For half of one game.
But really, this has nothing to do with the topic of the thread, so how about we drop this, and the other petty bickering and leave it in peace for the people who are behind this request?
Honestly the toxicity I’ve dealt with has pissed me off so much that I don’t bother to support neutral options for San’layn like I used to. Originally I thought a neutral AR would be great. Maybe it would be. San’layn for void elves and blood elves were also something I originally would have been fine with.
But them certain folks kept demanding it for void elf exclusive stuff, which made no sense. Then I recalled void elves have two themes already upon getting high elf stuff, can look exactly like blood elves, and honestly got fed up with them begging for every single Horde elf request we put forward.
So void elves can now look exactly like high elves but also have their own distinct theme they could be asking for, like starcursed hair and such like that (as seen in the active void elf thread right now). A lot of cool options people could be wanting to see implemented.
Instead, they flood here and other media demanding for stuff Horde has been asking for when the forsaken/undead have been a Horde thing and something we’ve been asking for for years. Dark Rangers as well. Not to mention other hypocritical underhanded tactics they accused everyone else of doing to high elf players.
Yes, I’m annoyed, yes, I’m very much fed up, no, I’m not going to sit down and let myself being walked all over.
In the end, San’layn do not fit on the Alliance and would fit in with the Forsaken of the Horde & Blood Elves as a distinct rogue group that branched off from the scourge LIKE DEATH KNIGHTS. Once again, despite what happened in the PTR, it was established Vorath was working alone of his own free will. Given the San’layn are not a hive mind, a different group with good intentions could easily prove themselves by working against the scourge in Northrend with the Blood Elves & the Horde.
That would be a fine story and one I’m hoping to see, because once more, we’ve seen bad-intentioned blood elves, orcs, humans, every race under the sun against our ‘heroes’, so one San’layn doing horrible things (like one Death Knight doing horrible deeds) doesn’t mean every member of this free-willed race will do the same. That’s why we have many races playable.
TLDR; The Alliance players pushing this are insufferable and play the victim on a constant basis behind a spiteful movement they even admitted to several times to ‘take a horde request’. I’m no longer going to be patient or nice about it.
We read the same thing. Seems we took different meanings.
Forces of death and chaos have always used a bit of shadow. So I don’t really see that as noteworthy myself.
We’re void elves not death elves.
Doesn’t fit in my opinion.
Certainly doesn’t help void elves at all. We need our own lore and time to grow. Adding a third race into our kit would be entirely against void elves.
Then you shouldn’t want san’layn options for void elves.
It hurts us.
Also doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Also noteworthy that the San’layn (during the Horde version of this quest line.) are still present on the half sunken ship after. They’re still working with the Horde at that point. Where they went after is still up in the air but that wasn’t the end of them within the Horde.
This.
And the Alliance kills undead.
The only time they’ve not was with Calia and Derek. Who have left.
Oh and their failed attempt to reunite some living with their dead relatives. Notably there it was Calia who tried to bring them to the Alliance so we can’t even say that would have changed that viewpoint. The majority of the Alliance doesn’t like the undead.
That doesn’t mean we need to be lessened by diluting us further.
Seems the San’layn have widely been acting as separate groups actually.
Blood Elves have a few main themes. Mages (arcaney stuff yada yada.) Blood Knights (Light based.) Farstriders (naturey and rangers and such. They could be argued to have several others as well. But those seem the three bigger ones to me.
The Dark Animus theme they seem to have a bit of interests me greatly. I’m also a fan of the Dark Rangers and San’layn though those are kinda a cross over for Forsaken. Still though easiest option for Blizzard for them and the San’layn is adding them to Blood Elves if they’re going to join the Forsaken.
Says one of the guys that was harassing her on Twitter a little while ago and then came on here to harass her even further, you are legit part of the problem not her.
How was I harassing her on twitter? By linking valid and RECENT information about the San’layn?
Blizzard is also fully aware of who is roleplaying what, and where.
