Give San’Layn to Horde blood Elves so I can look forward to my Knight Inquisition!!!
Give me something to look forward to in Shadowlands! BFA seems awful, don’t screw it with Shadowlands Blizzard.
Don’t like vampires but I support to have them just to sate my inquisition!
Just me again
With… You guessed it! Another thread bump!

I’m still holding out a little bit of hope that we’ll see something in the next expansion. It seems like the enthusiasm for vampires is on the rise. Some more lore, possibly a connection between the Venthyr and whatever curse the vampyr are afflicted with would be nice. A connection like such would indeed make sense. I also wonder if we’ll see Lucard again perhaps in SL.
Also SL can be for Shadowlands or San’layn. Coincidence? I think not. (Kidding but still amused)
Edit: Still wish I could mog my glasses over my actual gear

I’m hoping Blizzard gets some inspiration from this megathread and that we’ll see San’layn in the story soon, preferably as an allied race. Since we sadly didn’t see any San’layn activity or involvement past the Alliance war campaign, hopefully they will do something with them in the new vampire faction.
Granted, it’ll be a long wait before we even get to a datamining of patch information. Still, I’ll post some more ideas and writings as I get inspired, though college is keeping me busy as usual. I’ll find some time to keep supporting this megathread and other megathreads as best as I can, though.
As I said before, we may not know what is going to happen in the next expansion, but no matter what happens during Shadowlands or in the future, I’ll still help support San’layn as a playable Horde race, for whatever it is worth.

Guess who?!
It’s just me again (Sil the warlock)
Bumping my favorite dead elf thread
Even if Blizzard doesn’t add San’layn in shadowlands, they could definitely use it to lay down the lore, and foundation of their story, and how they came to be an ally

Let this be so.
I want my proper race tag.

I haven’t checked in for a while. How is everyone? Admittedly I haven’t been playing all that much, but well, I’m going to hopefully be doing so more now that I’m settled in. Roleplay is still fun, so I got that going for me. Been hearing about the WC3 disappointment and am hoping they don’t drop the ball for Shadowlands. I know people already dislike what they see at Blizzcon for it, but I won’t lie and say I’m not excited, because I am. I really hope we get more information on the matter soon.
I’ve not been adding ideas/scenarios because my creative energy has been going to my own novels, I’ll admit. Perhaps I’ll come up with ideas more when we get some information from Shadowlands. If we have to resign to just being customization, fine, but I really, really hope for some lore to go along with it. There’s so much on San’layn that could be expanded, and I’d love it. Obviously I favor an allied race in the end, though.
It could be my bias glasses, but it seems like vampires are on the rise in popularity. Which brings some hope that we might get the playable ones we’ve been asking for. It also is good for me personally, means more might be interested in reading my book series
I have no new San’layn art I’ve commissioned to share yet, since all my vampire stuff goes to my book OC’s. Though it would be cool if San’layn became more prominent, as we’d see more art of OC’s then. I still think a mouth FULL of fangs like Demon Hunters would be super cool.

Been very busy with college work, myself. Aside from that, most of my free time is used doing the daily stuff in the Vale and Uldum, where this character is revered with both of the new reps so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! What other little time I’ve had has gone into trying to level my Vulpera Shaman and posting in the megathreads across the forums.
It’s likely going to be a long wait until we get any more Shadowlands information, seeing as there may not be another patch between now and the prepatch for Shadowlands. I’m still hopeful we’ll see some Horde friendly San’layn appear, joining as an allied race of course, and I’ll be keeping my eye out for any information. So far, the only thing to look forward to is that new novel in July, which I’m going to wait for it to become a paperback before I get it. Hopefully we’ll get something before Blizzcon this year.
In the meantime, I do have some discussion ideas and scenarios I’ve been working on in my head. I just need to find the time and energy to fine-tune them and share them.
As for San’layn customization options for Blood Elves, I’m still of the opinion that San’layn should be an allied race rather than slapped onto the Blood Elves. Sure, they were former Blood Elves, but they would still have some differences between them and would act differently. Not to mention that we don’t know how customization will work in-game, so whether they would get any lore this way is questionable, among other potential issues.
Anyway, with my birthday next month, maybe I’ll be lucky enough to get one of the Horde races I want playable. Would make an excellent b-day gift, for sure!

Been doing alright here…still playing entirely too much. Bouncing around alts and such. Leveled a bunch during the anniversary event including my Blood Elf Death Knight featured right above your post.
Played a few missions of WC3 and have been enjoying it. I get some of the complaints, but at the same time, I was only expecting the very same game with new models.
Really would like to see some new info on Shadowlands. Maybe soon.
I’d really like to just see an overhaul of the whole character creation thing at this point.
Choose the main race, then next screen you pick from all the various subrace style options. Put forth the extra effort to give all of them their own heritage armor and racials. I think it’d be a great idea to have a team that just keeps expanding that stuff, and that’s their main focus. Kinda like how some games have art teams that just do new models and skins.
There’s still a lot of npc races that’d be great to have playable.
Saw there’s a newish Dracula series on Netflix, haven’t gotten a chance to watch it yet though.
I’d imagine once it hits Beta, we’ll start seeing a ton of stuff.

I’m curious if the Horde has any idea that Sylvanas went to the Ghostlands after that duel with Saurfang. You’d think with the Void Elves hanging out there, the Blood Elves would’ve taken more precautions to lock down that area.
As it stands, if there are any San’layn that were with Dreven, then the Horde might be very dubious with them. As such, a good way to earn some brownie points with them would be to help search the Ghostlands for everyone’s favorite insane elf zombie, maybe even utilizing my Echo Squad idea of an elite aerial group of San’layn that have mastered bat form and air combat. Of course, they wouldn’t find her, since Shadowlands kinda needs to happen, but assisting the Horde in some fashion would be a good start. Would also be great to see friendly San’layn interaction on the Horde implemented. If they were quick to forgive Sylvanas loyalists, then surely something could be done to help the San’layn, who I’m sure can help out with something going into some form of the afterlife.
It would also make a good lead-in to if we do encounter any San’layn in the Shadowlands area, having some that are still around in Azeorth (not yet past their expiration date) that come with us to help in the Shadowlands. Sure, we could meet Dreven there, who went out with a bang in the Alliance war campaign, but I’ve been trying to think of what the San’layn who are currently in the Shadowlands area could do there that would lead into them joining the Horde as an allied race. Having some come with us in the beginning would at least help establish relations with any that are in the Shadowlands currently.
I think we need more info on what is going on in the vampire area, and I don’t mean them having a bloody good time. I’ll be sure to analyze what info we get in the future to help continue this train of thought.

Hello, Hello Folks.
I hope San’layn becomes playable atleast hopefully. I’m still sad there’s still no playable San’layn or just Undead Elves in General.

Man, I used to visit the forums so much more. I guess I haven’t really been in good spirits much. Still hoping for San’layn! I’ve been roleplaying a ton and expanding the stories of my characters, including this one. Look at my new guitar

I hope Blizzard adds in a black and red guitar or something, that’d be awesome. I’m so thrilled to have nabbed this one, to be honest, it fits this character so well. I only wish we could enchant for more effects, or to hide the green!
Also it fits so well because it dropped originally from a San’layn

I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been in good spirits lately. Please take it easy and know that there are several of us who support you. Take as much of a break as you need to. We’ll still be here to help carry the San’layn banner.

I fully support San’layn as a playable race for the Horde.

I have a new idea for their recruitment.
Rather than focus the story on them trying to join the Horde, the story can focus on them trying to rejoin Silvermoon and the Blood Elves.
And thus join the Horde that way.

Imagine all elves would in the third faction and Alliance and Horde wouldn’t have elves at all. Elf only faction would probably go out of control.
Here to show support to the San’layn.
This thread is almost at 5k replies, I think we can do it!
