Gender locked will never be a thing in this game. Not in todays climate, and not with this company. If they gave to retcon to do it, they will.
They showed off a female mogu not too long ago. I assume in preparation for the pandaren allied class.

Yeah female mogu out of nowhere are suspicious. I’m pretty sure they use the draenei rig too. I know Swiftraven really wants mogu so I’ll be happy for her if they get to be playable.
I wouldn’t roll one myself but am interested in how their lore is handled for sure. Blizzard made interesting additions to aquatic goblins via Kelfin so I’m kinda glad they’re giving more personality to intelligent races.
Plus it indirectly aids us. We’ve already seen friendly San’layn on Hordeside though only through the eyes of an alliance hero or going out of our way on Horde. The more depth they add to previously aggressive races, the better. I love it when things aren’t just flat black and white.

True but I meant models aside from on two bosses, you know? Where they’ll be more common.

I think Keep Ral is 3d printing more mogu. The old mogu had lost the titans and sort of started fighting when they lost there purpose in life. A theme common with AI in Scifi.
I predict them to be playable. Hopefully as horde. I really want an eredar warlock but the female dranei rig on mogu would work too.
As for San’layn I hope they consider them as a new race. Darkfallen elves just sounds so good. And I would love altered voice lines jokes and dances. If that can be bundled together with blood elves I would like that too (have voice and jokes linked to the skin type though). I know some wildhammer fans are dissapointed they won’t get unique stuff like that (and heritage armor too).
I know they also said there won’t be allied races in 9.0. So that means we may have a chance before the expansion as evidenced by 2 more slots 2 fill after mechagnomes/vulpera. There may be something to those empty spaces! It’s simply speculation though.
And that leaves 9.1 with an allied race possibly after we find out stuff goes down. I feel San’Layn would be perfect after tge first raid though, that vampire themed raid. We will have to see though. It seems lije it’s either San’Layn or Venthyr. But if blizzard listens to feedback it is to not pick one. But both. ¿Por que no los dos?

Also, I’m saying this now… If I don’t get a vampire outfit for siding with the Venthyr, I’m gonna be very upset. I better look like Dracula floating around tossing out voidbolts and vampiric touches

Yeah I’m hoping we’ll get some really cool gothic/vampire transmogs from both the Venthyr and the first raid since it’s like Dracula’s castle. Heck I might even start raiding causally again for the fun of it, since I raid when I like the story or aesthetic, and this would be right up my alley.
I’m really hoping that the Venthyr get some bat wings for their cloak as well. That gravestone just doesn’t fit to me, plus they’re the only ones on the concept art Without wings, which is a huge bummer.

The Kyren (spelling?) had wings, as well as a big floating circle thing they could use

I know it’s rather late but I don’t care, this was linked on the San’layn discord and I wanted to share it! I’m super excited to find out more about this zone. I bet you we’ll see the San’layn pop up here someplace, it’s too perfect. Also, there’s a strong chance we’ll learn about the blood curse too. I bet you its origin is right here in Revendreth. I kinda like that the color scheme of the Venthyr armor looks like it’ll go with the Sin’dorei heritage armor pretty well. Mix and match!

Not to mention that raid tier will no doubt have more dracula-esque armor! If only we were getting more than just four sets. Ah well can’t be picky now.

An interesting concept. I would say for racials…
Active: Blood thirst: You stun the target and drain blood from them, longer stun duration on targets shorter than yourself(Insta-kill when used on gnomes). 1.5 minute cooldown.
Passive: Bloody Tears: heals when dealing damage, and when afflicted by bleeds, heals instead of taking damage!
Profession: Mountains of flesh: Acquired additional resources from skinning, and additional leather.
Resistance: Shadow resistance with a lesser secondary resistance to nature damage.

Haha alright that’s a good one, in all seriousness a stun is a good idea that people have brought up a couple times. A Blood Prince uses it in the Old Kingdom which is pretty neat.

Horde needs a racial that spells instant death for gnomes. It’s long overdue. And we saw a Blood Prince pretty much drink the gnome dry, and pretty much Broly slam him into the ground like he was wrecking Frieza’s cheeks for an hour strait, but in the span of less than a second!

Stop it. That’s what the Vampyr were in Stormheim.
Some people suspect the picture of that really fancy elf-like Venthyr is actually Kael’thas. I’ve been wondering lately if that’s true. Looking at that picture, which I mentioned a few posts above, I actually wouldn’t doubt it. I hope we find out who that is sometime soon regardless.
