Hopefully, we'll get confirmation at Blizz Con! Ol' Undead Lorash looks badass! Did you notice that Lorash is the first male elf dark ranger that uses the red eyes? The others in this expac had green skin and blue eyes. This is the first male undead elf model with the pallid skin and red eyes if that counts for anything.
Yeah that's a very good point. They look like kinda organgish eyes, not a true red--perhaps wowhead does not have the proper glow? Something interesting is that he had those eyes but not the Blood Marquis from the Alliance campaign. Perhaps now they're working on model updates, and we have even more of a chance for San'layn. Reasonably speaking, them as a race would make more sense than Dark Rangers (which would be a class). This way someone could still play a Dark Ranger hunter by rolling a San'layn due to it being a similar look and concept.
Granted, our proposed modifications and ideas would make them look more bat-like and distinct from dark rangers, but... so
Yeah, it's also odd to spend resources on making a "skin" if it were for one, unimportant character. Even the male Dark Ranger models (in game) don't have red eyes and use the DK skin. Another good point you made is that the blood marquis had the DK eyes instead of the red ones that Lorash has. In the past, Blizzard spent little to no effort on undead elf skin (before BFA there wasn't even male DR models) and used the DK skin to indicate that an elf was undead. In the same expansion pack that boasts AR as one its primary features, Blizzard purposefully creates new pallid, red eyed skin, brings in San'layn into the story and a lot of undead elves appear. Doesn't seem like a coincidence to me. All of this could imply, like you said, that this is the beginning of work on unique models for San'layn/Undead Elves. I feel like we're going to get a catch all for undead elves, but I might be wrong.
I'd really love San'layn.

Well, San'layn are starting to show up in model viewer for datamined content. We may get our wish after all. I wonder who we'll have to grind rep with to get them.

There was a thread in GD a few days ago that linked the PTR model viewer for a San'layn. I can't remember the thread title.
I have a 8.2 speculations post with how I see the San'layn joining the Horde.

Really? Because he looked totally like a San'layn. I mean, at this point I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them added just to pull in some re-subs.

Sylvanas cannot raise san'layn. She can raise dark rangers and forsaken but not san'layn. Only the lich king and other san'layn can raise san'layn

I saw yeah, those are interesting points! Good of you to post it here, perhaps it's something we can discuss as well, and of course thank you for the support. Your suggested mount idea is intriguing for sure. With San'layn having a connection to the Forsaken, as we've seen in BfA, perhaps they'd get a skeletal horse variant. Might as well have some style to it, eh?

Anything counts, thank you :D I love my glasses, I wish I could actually mogrify them though. Sadly they're not moggable, so I toss them on my toon when I have a chance to and am not doing content.

If it was about Lorash and lead to a link featuring a red eyed, pallid skin male Belf then that was a dark ranger, not a San'layn.
I do not think we will see this race in BFA but I have a weird feeling we will be returning to Northrend soon, perhaps in the next xpac. I believe that is when they would be released to play.

with Bolvar's current state of mind, i would not be surprised if we end up going to Northrend again, though i would prefer if they made the San'layn official members of the horde before doing that. like maybe the horde player actually gets introduced to the San'layn the horde are dealing with and they tell us the state of Northrend with the new Lich King and how he's amassing another scourge army or something and we are sent to put a stop to it.

Yeah I agree, I feel like this is now or never. I don't think any other warchief will even remotely consider having San'layn, or any other undead race for that matter, join the horde after what's been happening.
As for Lorash, yeah he was raised by a Valk'yr. That's been datamined, but still could be good news for us since they're working on such models.

No you're not allowed to like Lorash, or Sanlayn, lest you be branded an eDgElOrD. People liking darker themes instead of all the virtuous light bs is not to be tolerated in this cartoonish video game that people play for fun!

Aw thanks very much <3 and yep these are my favorite sunglasses. I've embraced destiny, and you can't see it here, but also have my guitar moggrified to complete the look.
