The San’layn should go to the Alliance.
No…they shouldn’t. There are several posters arguing this to be petty, as proven by them saying “We should have a Horde request”. On the off chance there’s 1-2 Alliance players that actually believe this, however, I will explain why it makes no sense in lore.

The San’layn tried joining the HORDE in Battle for Azeroth. We do not know if they accomplished their mission, for it could have been ‘delay the Alliance from intervening with our mission (getting the corpse) at all costs’. In which case, the forsaken-munching would be justified, because it could have been ordered, and we know the San’layn were desperate for a home.

What did the Alliance do in Battle for Azeroth? Oh yes…

The Alliance had long since abandoned the Blood Elves by the time San’layn came to be. NOT ONLY THAT, but the Alliance went out of their way to butcher San’layn in the war campaign in Battle For Azeroth.

Look at the language there. The Alliance are not friendly to the San’layn. They see them as bloodthirsty monsters and the entire point of the war campaign was to slaughter them on the Alliance side, meanwhile the Horde’s point was to get the body (which was a stupid plotline anyway but we won’t get into that).

The Alliance slaughtered the San’layn in Battle for Azeroth to the point where many still (wrongly) claim they were made to be extinct (see my points above as to why that’s ridiculous). It makes no reasonable sense for the San’layn to ever join the faction that prevented them from getting the home they needed in BfA and sees them as bloodthirsty monsters.

Added this to my FAQ because it needs to be said, and all of the data is right there. Now I can just link that post itself without having to repeat myself over. And over. and over. again.

YEah this is different though because you’re not literally name dropping a poster, that sort of thing is fine, referencing others and stuff. Flat out name dropping though…

another time i suggested nzoth eyes instead since normal red was a dark ranger/vampire thing, even if san’layn dont have red, and that was a horde thing. pretty much everybody knows this so only someone who just isnt thinking or is trolling out of boredom, is gonna say something like that. unless they’re new to the forums.

I appreciate this sentiment very much. And I should stop worrying about it too, think I let it get to me where I honestly shouldn’t. Easy to get riled up here on the forums, though. But yeah. Hopefully, someday, we’ll see it happen. If the faction barrier shatters, by all means, both of them having San’layn would be fine, or even covenant-granted-customization of vampyr curse for all races that make sense.
