Why does it feel like the same dps are on top every xpac. Why don’t we ever see shaman, monk, or druid the constant top dps; or in the few fights those classes do out perfom, the fight is seen as broken and something gets changed. I’m really tired of my favorite spec never having a chance to be top dps.

because lock and druid are blizz’s favorite classes.
Being the best isn’t everything. I’d rather have a fun rotation first before worrying about not putting out as much damage as I should.
if u can only dps u probly gonna have at lest 1 dps spec that do good , monk have dps 1 spec , if it not good boo hoo u can hela , tanks
It’s called a hybrid tax.
I just want the best dps slots to get shaken up a bit. Don’t get me wrong I will play my hunter because I like getting invited to content and they are easy as hell to play.
When’s the last time you asked your Ele Shaman to stop DPSing to throw the 5 Healing Surges their mana pool allow during a Mythic encounter?
Never happens, if you’re a DPS slot you’re expected to DPS with every GCD you have.
People like that, think warrior, DH, and DK are not hybrids.
I could only imagine the outrage if warlocks were in the bottom rows for dps… the whole play whst you like concept would be dead and gone.
They were at the start of legion. But then again specs that purposely gutterball at the beginning of an expansion somehow get a pass to become great by the final tier.
How does this invalidate what i said? Try tanking a boss as Arms and see long that’s going to last.
Same idea, Mythic raiding is too finaly tuned to allow much flexibility in who does what. This is why support roles don’t exists in this game.
When your class/spec is top dps at the start of an expac it won’t be top at the end of the expac.
I wasn’t invalidating. Just stating that people who typically bring up the hybrid tax meme purposely let those 3 classes get a pass on good performance even though blizz considers them hybrids.
Do people forgot that Warlock are crap every beginning of expansion? That they always have one or two spec at the bottom??

If i have to “ask,” my hybrids to hybrid, then they won’t be in my Mythic encounter.
And as someone who plays both boomy and Resto, a HOTW Wildgrowth can be the difference between wiping to bursting and surviving. Learn to play to your strengths.

Because the class has a ranged spec. Same goes for shaman except the one blip of enhance in highmaul (as far as I can remember).
