I see two Draenei.
One regular Draenei and red Draenei are the same race?
Its same race, the 3 Draenei types. Just different circumstances.
Good to know
Thanks
The 3rd are somewhat rare, unlocking them: they undergo a purity trial of sorts, trained & tested in various areas before going through the final trial to become lightforged.
It was a better idea then adding a third race for draenei.
Earthens was a mistake, I haven’t run into one on Horde or Alliance in queuing content at 80.
The only reason Blizzard made Earthens an exception is because they wanted them to be available to both factions.
To me it was a wasted race slot for two better potential races we could have had instead of a third dwarf.
Biologically speaking, Blue, Red, and White Draenei are the same race.
Gameplay wise Red and Blue Draenei are one race while White Draenei are another.
Culturally Blue Draenei have more in common with White Draenei than they do with Red Draenei.
Eredar is the race for the blue Draenei and red Draenei. Draenei is just the name for the Eredar who rejected the Sargeras gift and escaped Argus.
Eredar race has:
- Man’ari Eredar (red): Eredar who accepted the Sargeras gift and now are a part of the Burning Legion or the Penitents
- Draenei (blue): Eredar who rejected the Sargeras gift and left Argus to find a new home without the Burning Legion
- Lightforged Draenei (white / yellow): Eredar who rejected the Sargeras gift and left Argus to fight the Burning Legion in the Army of Light
Lost Ones, Broken and Krokul are a part of the Eredar too but they are a sub-race of Eredar and they mutated after being exposed to the fel energies.
Kul’Tirans and Forsaken are still humans, just one is chonky and the other is a bit expired. Also Worgen, just cursed humans.
All Draenei are the same race, just with some magical changes.
Dwarves- a bit more complicated. Dark Irons are likely a bit genetically different but they can still interbreed with regular dwarves (as seen with Dagran) but they aren’t exactly the same.
Earthen, are proto-dwarves. All Dwarves were once Earthen.
Similar to Vrykul being humanity’s ancestors.
Highmountain are Tauren, just blessed by Cenarius.
Void Elves and Blood Elves are High Elves, just with magical changes like being imbued with Void or Fel/Holy energy.
Night Elves, High Elves basically evolved from them.
And, we know Night Elves descended from Trolls.
Darkspear Trolls and Zandalari are genetically different, but they’re still trolls and undoubtedly share the same ancestors as well. All trolls used to be under the Zandalari banner back in the early years of their empire, and they split over time.
A lot of races in this game are related to others we already have.
I’m red because I have a sunburn, doesn’t make me a different race. Maybe the man’ari just need a few thousand years of aloe and eyedrops.
The fact you have “red draenei” unlocked and are unclear of what the differences are makes me mildly confused
