Get Back in the fight with The War Within, transform your in-game experience with discounts on select game services, and more!
Seems like an odd time to put up in-game service discounts. Is there something coming for race/class combos we don’t know about? There’s no real reason for most to buy them now really.
Oh rad. I was just looking at a couple of character names I hate.
I mean, if they’re trying to drag people back for season three and get people hyped up for the reveal at the end of summer. It makes sense. Also, $17.50 to realm hop. I have a couple of characters I want to take elsewhere so now it’s the perfect time.
Just before a new patch is about to reset everything. Probably fishing for volume when the normally higher prices would normally dissuade, or encouraging people to get it now rather than wait and see what will actually be useful for their standings (encouraging panic buying).
Also, notice how it ends the day AFTER the raid launches? The meta-chasing stuff that’ll crystallize after that point will be stuck with the full price for any change-ups.
Greed, greed, greed and gullibility.
TWW upgrades come with trader’s tender if some of you are looking to buy some currency.
There’s also the epic edition upgrade for $20 which comes with a free month of game time. If you’re already spending $15, you might as well throw in an extra $5 for 1000 trader’s tender, a mount, some pets, two toys and a transmog set.
Is this your first encounter with a business having a sale?
inb4 all the mocking comments about a business putting up a sale on items
Blizz loves to troll me. Everytime I buy a transfer or something, they pop a sale couple days later.
I’ll quit before I pay for a character service. They should all be free with a cooldown at most. You want people to pay for the privilege of not being on a crappy server… lol.
Well, you tried <3
Me buying a race change right before they discounted them for Dracthyr gaining more classes…
They are faster than I
They should add real dinars to the game then, rather than a boosting monetization meme one that makes it extremely easy to not play for the season.
The devs rely too much on making people feel bad for not doing what they don’t want to do, which is why the DF season 4 dinars were a godsend. They let people avoid game modes the devs aren’t interested in fixing, but this season they decided to burn people and monetize boosting.
What they really should have done is put a single sentence in the article summarizing the sorts of changes that were going to be made, rather than expecting forum readers to do that for them. Since they outsourced their marketing some of what they do makes no sense. I clicked through to “read full article” and saw not even a teaser. So I didn’t even go to the shop.
I’d bet there’s some incentive to get people prepared for the new expansion. Midnight is getting announced soon. As for me, idk, I might purchase a character boost? Haven’t checked how much the discount on them is ywt, though.
Edit: oh, no discount on boost. Shame. I’ll skip that.
To be fair, players that chase the meta like that wouldve paid full price regardless, and you know it.
Yeah, I know it.
And will forever question their sanity because of it.
For getting the service in the first place, discounts be damned.
Up to 50%? so basically 10%
“Hey we said up to…”
I’d buy some race changes but you haven’t added Night Elf Paladins to the game yet. Unfortunately, if you snooze, you lose.
