Safe to purchase AOTC with gold?

Is it safe to trade gold only for groups to carry? There’s a group called Phoenix Community that advertises carries for gold only but I don’t know for sure if it’s legit and not against TOS

It’s not against ToS.

Its in the rules.
Just dont pay money and make sure you keep all chat in the game.
If you talk on discord and you’re scammed you’re out of luck

Edit: also, its the norm for you to pay upfront. Don’t think they’re conning you if you’re asked to do so.

I’ve been purchasing the AOTC mount since MoP. Haven’t been banned. You’re good, trust me.

My guild has done some paid carries before. We had one go belly up early on and returned the gold to the buyer because they had to leave. It’s important to get in in-game writing the terms of the sale so Blizzard has something to reference if they try to scam you out of your purchase.

Nope, because it is an unsupported transaction .

If they were to scam you , you will not get the money back even if they get actioned.

well yeah but technically so could any transaction.
Its not for the player to worry about unless they are the ones paying cash for gold.

yeah this is my concern, if i pay with gold but the group that carrys me ends up getting disciplined or whatever for things I’m unaware of, am i technically “affiliated”

Have you tried just joining a raid pug and getting AOTC without having to pay for it? An achievement feels a lot better when you actually earn it.

I dont think the customer would get in trouble, but the seller may get busted and kicked

You yourself paid with ingame currency so you’re in the clear. If the runner then turns around and sell the gold for real currency, that’s their own problem.

makes sense and that’s what i assumed but I just dont want my account getting caught up in anything i dont know about/want to be a part of, i just want a silly carry for gold without the fear of violating TOS
and yes i know one solution would be to simply not buy a carry but on the other hand if it’s done properly it doesn’t seem bad

This has ALWAYS bee a thing. You are free to spend your gold how you want too. Using real money is a no-no unless you buy a token and get gold that way which is a pseudo way of using real money.
