If you trade gold for a kill, and the person you trade the gold to just ups and runs, or doesn’t deliver a kill, will a GM be able to assist in getting the gold back if it isnt returned?
Buying runs for gold are an “at your own risk” transaction. It’s allowed but GMs won’t intervene if either party doesn’t hold up their end.

Generally speaking no, they will not. However, I have yet to see any significant number of people getting scammed at all. As annoying as the spam is, they are all pretty legit in their services from what i hear. I have never bought one myself tho.

NOPE, they can scam if you if they desire so. Blizzard has no connections to these groups and may not refund you either.
Someone said the offenders get banned though. Not sure if thats accurate.
Join a guild.
More trustworthy.
And no need to buy a kill either.
If everything is done in game, they will take the gold from the scammer but you won’t get it back.
Only purchase carries from reputable guilds on your own server. There are plenty of them on any given server.

I have lost gold in a transaction before, you will not get your gold back.
It is unlikely for guilds to scam you out of this. As long as the guild name is a legit guild that actually raids at the heroic+ level then you should be pretty safe. No point in running a scam to ruin your guild’s reputation over hundreds of thousands to a million gold. That amount of gold will get you no where with a tarnished reputation.

I would usually say they wont help. But I think it may depend on
which GM you get, and what mood they are in.
For example, way back in the day, my guild had a member leave
and take all the gold from the guild bank with him.
Normally it will be a situation of if he had permission, he didnt do
anything wrong. The Gms wont help you.
But I contacted a GM, and explained what happened.
We got our gold back.
While you may not be refunded, if someone sell a service for gold and doesn’t meet the agreement you can denounce it for scam (you need to take prints of transaction and agreements via chat). It’s not guaranteed but the only safe step I know about this kind of services.
