Is that the most likely end result will be that BrM will get nerfed from oblivion, and the class that caused it to be played in the first place, since its the most effective counter, will be left alone.

Yeah not even close dude, I highly doubt you’ve played against a good brm recently but as a caster I go under oath on record here it’s the most toxic bs I’ve ever dealt with. They need to be absolutely gutted.
Time has proven this to be the MO that Blizzard follows. Not even Hero Classes in the expansion of their release are safe from it (See: Frost Strike being made dodgeable during Wrath because FDK destroyed Rogues. Theres other examples but that was the first and most egregious).
If its a threat to RMP it gets crushed by SkyDaddy Blizzard. There are no exceptions.

We see ALOT disc priests in solo shuffle, but almost none at the AWC. So I wouldn’t worry about Blizzard balancing the game around AWC results. Also the two top teams in NA already qualified before Cup 4, motives and drives were less I would think.
I mean every agility class had high dodge and was getting destroyed by frost dks, and it helped make frost dks need more expertise as a nerf to them in PvE too.
Man DK got smacked hard with that Nerf bat, quickly after that video of the dk soloing heroic halls of lightning. They got hit so hard they were literally unplayable as tanks for a while.
