I have loved playing BG’s since burning crusade. I have been trying really hard for some of the more difficult (impossible it feels) achievements in BG’s and it seems all of the good PvP players went to Alliance side. I don’t know what the experience is for other players, but in the last 2 expansions I have a win rate of less than 10% with horde. I really don’t know how this is possible. We seem to be about 50/50 in the Large BG’s just not the normal ones.
I really wish that it was just random and both factions got paired on teams so that the player pool is more equal. Blitz will fix that, but you won’t be able to achieve some of the BG achievements in blitz, so I am forced to faction change to have a higher chance of completing these. Sad day, once I finish my achieves I will faction change back to horde.
Just venting really that it should never have come to this. 20 years of horde and I tried to stick it out, but going 2 expansions with horrible PvP balance between sides sucks.

So, apparently Alliance actually communicates in BG’s lol. This is so weird.

I regret it every day, you just lost all your post history on that toon too if you were a forum goer. Man, I could post links and pictures when I was on the horde… Now look at me…
Still can’t… Just tried to place “Owner of a Lonely Heart” on here and I still can’t.
faction changing wont make you any better.
how many bgs since bc do you think you’ve played to reach honor level 49?

I re-rolled Alliance yesterday and hit 78 on my lock today. I have never done a BG as alliance in my life, THATS how bad it is as horde now. Its a joke tbh lol
-Faction changing instead of having a max level of multiple races of every class on both factions.

horde pug is extremely bad i too have like a 10 percent winrate when i soloQ horde
but when you group up with even just 1 other decent player it might be able to turn the tides some games
just today me and my fresh 80 buddy mage duo Qd and won 5 in a row as horde.
its honestly good times cuz u get a challenge (most horde pugs dont do much)
so yeah… soloQ horde… no fun… but playing with friends? getting insta Qs… it can be aight
Yes. why not play both sides, especially now with all the achievements being warbanded.
Just got Battle for Gilneas Perfection achievement yesterday while pugging, this last week has been great, have been smashing alliance on bgs left and right. Next week we’ll have bg blitz again so faction won’t matter except for random bgs

dude this cant be understated I think this is the biggest issue the horde is having rn.
the sheer amount of toxic trash talking on alliance side always makes up for the losses. so good

There’s 100% something wrong in play. Horde hasn’t won a single BG in the past 24 hours that I’ve played. It’s been all premades of Alliance rank 1 players.
I changed back to Horde earlier this week, and I already feel IMMENSE regret. It’s of course my mistake, and I have nobody else to blame but myself for making it.
What I think is a game-wide problem, though, is how racial ability imbalances and a trickle of top players and guilds swapping always cause a massive chain reaction that lopsides the activity and achievement in game population.
The part of it, and probably the root cause, that can be addressed, though, is the racial ability imbalances. Blatantly, Shadowmeld is completly overpowered, beyond compare. It’s an absolute game changer. It’s more than just its potential PvP uses either… even merely dropping combat, especially as a Druid (or Rogue) that’s utterly invaluable. I frankly think it’s vital now even just about in the open world. The mob density just kills me now trying to do anything. Not being able to escape combat truly does hurt.
Sure, we now have cross-server and cross-faction everything. That does NOT stop the premade situation, though. Nor does it aim to equalize player congregation, which further facilitates activity. I guess I assessed things wrong given overall population, the recent services discount, and being a bit bored from the alliance races – and fell for it. Now I gotta grind tokens over many weeks or even months to delay game time, just to soften the blow, and then take the full price to change back to alliance.

If I had posted this - seven salty/envious people would have responded by now.
But I agree.
As a counterpoint, I’m honor level 600+ and notice the quality of alliance pugs is much better than horde. I can carry better in certain classes, but there’s nothing I can do if they are out geared as a healer, which happens more in horde than alliance.
Even strategy, alliance communicates more than horde.
everyones win/loss ratio comes down to 2 variables:
are you playing with experienced players?
time of day.
Right, but (it seems) the experienced players went alliance.

id say most pvpers already have toons on both factions.

Yes, but are they shelving their horde toons?
But but since they nerfed the Orc racial in DF, all the good PvP players followed the R1 players onto alliance .
I have been playing on and off since WoD and this is the worst it’s being on the horde side since my time in WoW . I heard it was terrible in original Vanilla as Horde but I never experienced it .
It jsut means I will be playing in premades more than pugging it both in randoms and epics.
