The quest Inscription quest “Sacrificial Writes” is currently bugged due to the item “Fresh Hearts” being looted but not going into bags, rendering you unable to use the Writ of Sacrifice on the Deer.

Just tried doing this myself - confirming that fresh hearts do not end up in your bags.

Can confirm. Hearts not being counted or disappearing. Can’t use quest item without the hearts. Healing the stags normally doesn’t count even if they get up all happy and run off 
Tried a couple weeks ago and again today. Very sad - this is my last BFA profession achievement!
How do we get this in front of Blizz people? Really keen on getting this sorted…

Writing this as of 7 September 2024, bug is still around.
As of 10/2/2024 the bug is still present. Just to repeat, the item “Fresh Hearts” is showing as being looted, but it never transfer to the inventory rendering you unable to use the Writ of Sacrifice on the Deer

Still bugged as of Oct 19, 2024. The hearts show up as looted with the message that they are received… but they are not in your bags and you cannot heal the greatstags as the UI helpfully tells you that you are missing the reagent. Blizz, please get this out of backlog and get a fix in… we are all stuck on this quest.

Also stuck on this one - very frustrating to go level up inscription just to get to do this questline, only to find it bugged. Please help, Blizzard!
For everyone else, I tried removing all of my bags and a few other weird things just in case it might help. No luck. Same behavior as described - shows as looted in my log, but never appears in my bags.

Common Problems

- I looted the quest item “Fresh Heart” but the items are not added to my inventory.
We have received several reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended. Customer Support does not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.
This was updated 2 months ago, so they’re aware, but there’s no promising that it made it onto their short list of bugs to fix for the next release. I guess we’ll see on Tuesday!
As of today’s patch, this quest appears to be fixed!
