Sabre slash buff feels like a miss

Was cool to see a buff but after playing around with it, it just still felt like a worse mutilate.

Mutilate still does more damage on cast and just procs everything way more.

It might end up under some conditions this ends up doing more damage but Jesus the game play feels like straight garbage compared to mutilate.

Like I really like that they tried to buff sabre slash but blimey it feels so off the mart in terms of game play it isn’t even funny

You need to use the Hanzo Sword

Hanzo rogue is going to be BIS

the amount of people memeing and trying to get people to buy hanzo swords is out of control…

but yeah saber slash buff is kinda silly… all it did was create another generator with the same build and didnt really change anything… still waiting for people to realize combat is still not viable

Meme? I can tell you, with no ego, this is the finest sword. If, on your journey in WOW, should you encounter God, God will be cut.

Honestly my solution would be to revert it back to 3 stacks with 5% ap scaling per tick. And keep the damage boost at 100% for 3 stacks instead of 5. It takes way too long to ramp up and it will still fall behind in any fights that last less than 1:30 and fights where you have to swap targets.

you worried you are going to lose your investment that much? you probably will when people see that its not even close to a top 10 sword

sure that would be slightly less annoying to play with, but it still would be the same old spec with a different generator

saber slash was meant to just be an alternative generator to sinister strike/muti to begin with. if they’re gonna change anything else besides what I suggested, it should be tailored more towards the combat tree/other runes instead of saber slash itself.

for example, an alternative to deadly brew/envenom playstyle. Maybe a rune that enhances eviscerate and one that gives slice and dice another buff (like maybe group utility or something).

hell, they could even do a massive plot twist and find a way to make sub viable in pve.

Vernita Green chose to spec mutilate over using a Hanzo sword. That decision ultimately lead to her demise.

At this point if Saber Slash gave two combo points I bet it’d STILL suck compared to mutilate.

i completely agree… they need alternates. would be cool to see bleed synergy with saber slash / rupture / carnage and maybe make eviscerates hit harder based on bleed count or something idk. but yeah way too much damage comes from poison / envenom to allow for any other tree to be the primary other than assassination. i actually like playing assa / mutilate, but if people were hoping combat sword would be a thing with saber slash buff they are going to be sorely mistaken.

Bloodrazor + hanzo sword + darkmoon cards, if you’re not running it you won’t be invited into little jimmy’s doodoo gray parsing pug.

The only sword you can compare to a Hanzo sword is another Hanzo sword. Everyone knows this bro…

It’s so funny to me that hanzo sword meta is real.

blizzard should buff saber a little bit more and then put mutilate back at 60 energy. problem solved, no more cancer and the sword rogues are happy.

have saber slash apply expose armor at 5 stacks with the bleed

or have it apply hemo on each stack. and have serrated blades apply to its bleed, make it useful in pvp too.

Its also exposing the issue that envenom is the only finisher we can realistically use too. Rupture is a joke, and eviscerate only makes sense on poison immune targets. They gave us BTE but havent made it usable in any real way. I wish they would.

Yeah and it’s ever so slightly more risky running swords and have deadly poison drop of when target switching

Targeting swapping with sabre slash is garbage

Rogue Runes are really bad and Rogue is being carried by Deadly Brew and Mutiliate 2000%.

Any other rune they added that was intended to be used for something is actually completely useless for that intended application and is over ridden by Mut, Deadly Brew and Envenom.

They need to full stop go back to the drawing board on Rogue runes. If anyone’s solution is to nerf our only usable runes, then that’s dead on arrival, might as well reroll.
