Heylo. Whats the best ideal offhand used for a saberslash pvp build? I just got the bootdagger but it seems chipped does better frontload.
Saber slash is not a good PvP build though.
The one thing Roguea have right now is special is their legendary burst. Choosing to opt out of burst damage for a DoT is trading away the one good thing about Rogue simply because you want to try to run your PvE spec in PvP.

Fast offhand for higher chance* of getting crippling procs. Other than that it doesn’t really matter.
*More consistently.
A PvE spec becomes a PvP spec once it is used in PvP.
Seasok of Discovery is about trying new things. Heaven forbid anyone try and go against the meta before they get berated by sweatlords

You’re entitled to try new things. However, when you’re soliciting information online about how to optimize your character, don’t be surprised to learn that some choices you’ve made are sub-optimal.

I’ve used Sabre slash this whole time and I’ve never lost a 1v1 to another rogue.
It also is amazing vs warriors.
Also let’s us use quick shot which is down right cracked for PvP

Is that something you do a lot when during premade vs premade Warsong? Dueling enemy rogues in a context that actually matters?

It’s literally what you’ll be doing for the majority on your time at level cap. And its the one thing where your success, y’know, matters.
You can just not one vs one and bring a friend to any wPvP fight. Who cares about that?
In Warsong, you only have 10 people. If you want to win, you need to be stronger.

Do you think Aggrend balances the game around duels? No, he has literally said he doesn’t. The game is very clearly being tuned around WSG. The Exalted grind IS the end-game of this phase. And again, your performance actually matters. If you are running some dueling build and suck and lose, that actually matters.
Its weird I’m having to explain this. It’s like people arguing their duel build matters during BC when arenas were objectively the PvP endgame.

As someone who’s played both builds quiet a bit I can promise you that you are vastly overestimating how bigger difference they have in performance.

As someone who has played both, nah I don’t think I am. Obviously you can kill people with swords or else people wouldn’t even make posts like these trying to optimize their sub-optimal builds, but its clearly just worse.
Maybe you’re just not as good at the game as you thought if you can’t make both build work?

Even a bad build in blue gear can bully kids in green gear, that’s “working” but its doesn’t mean it is optimal. Try again (or don’t).
