I love how Blizzard takes months and years to change things… always. Could improve the players gaming experience and maximize alt useage and fun? Nah, make them wait 18 months and we “might” let them have it.
Can’t believe how obsolete and outdated every aspect of Blizzard’s systems and choices are. It’s literally mind-blowing. And the fact the majority of the community just accepts it, is even worse.
It’s coming in thre pre-patch LOL.

As opposed to being able to do it day1 of the expansion, to manage your alts the way you want at the pace you want?
The mentality of being conditioned to have to wait till the end of an expansion, at least 12-18 months, in order to get a feature that makes the game better for you… the paying customer, to me is pathetic.
The people who would agree with me aren’t in the forums because they got sick of it long ago and are playing other games that don’t do things like that… or wait as long.

Splintered sparks already come from a variety of content. Just have to do that content.
Devs operate on some fear that players having access to things easier on their alts means they’ll stop playing sooner, and that looks bad for their monthly / quarterly metrics. So they design accordingly.
They’re also probably not wrong about this.
also limited, if you have alts that have them you can mail vs waiting every week
Hopefully all of these silly currencies will be Warbound in the next expansion. So tired of the silliest things being soulbound when other similar things aren’t.
For example:
- Dreamsurge Coalescence from Dreamsurges can be used to buy account-usable mounts, pets and toys, and BoA gear to mail to alts.
- Paracausal Flakes from Time Rifts can be used to buy account-usable mounts, pets and toys, BoA cosmetics, and be crated up 1:1 into a BoA item to mail to alts to buy gear.
- Essence of the Storm from the Storm’s Fury events…nah, that can just rot on alts, even though you already have enough to buy the account-usable mount, pet and toy if you could get it all to one character somehow.
The list goes on, in the current and past expansions, so fingers crossed this won’t continue to be an issue in the future. Hopefully all currencies for (and progression towards) cosmetics, mounts, pets, toys, etc will be Warbound soon.
With sparks, it’s actually that they don’t want people to funnel sparks to their mains.

at this point dont think that should matter they should allow people to gear how they want

As long as “gear how they want” involves actively doing content on the character that is getting geared.
