I’m guessing prepatch folks get to last minute push m+ and raids as level 80 on easy mode for those three prepatch days.
8/26: The War Within Goes Live Globally at 3:00 pm PDT with Heroic Dungeons and Dragonflight Season 4 PvE rewards are retired.
Notice it says the 26th and not the 22nd the rewards get retired…
I’d be surprised if they let people 71+ activate the DF Keystones.
Hopefully the blog article was typo’d.
It seems obvious that the keystones simply wouldn’t work for characters above level 70, but who knows.
I will likely not return to the dragon isles for at least a year after the 22nd

Such a thing should be documented if it is present…
How? You can’t get keys to run it if you level past 70.
It’s been like that since Legion.
Where is this documented?
Some folks might want to push keys and get locked out of such then unless they use xp lock then.
So you’re saying Legion had early access? 
Show me when you’ve been able to run a key past the level of the Mythic dungeon. It’s never been a thing. You cannot get keys past that level. You’ve never been able to.
It doesn’t need “documented.” That’s how the game works. 
Do they prevent inviting people above lvl 70 into s4 keys as well?
I don’t have much faith in things running as expected with key interactions, since I found things like
Of course, because there has never been an early access period in this game where people can outlevel the current season keys.
It’ll be interesting to see how it actually rolls out.
As a side note:
I’m surprised more people haven’t pointed out the keystone master achievement you need to complete for legion goodies is still locked behind a 15 key. No, not the S4 KSM, but the generic KSM achievement.
Yeah, I always figured it wasn’t so much that ‘you can’t do these if you’re above their level’, but moreso that the dungeons just become wholly inaccessible either before or at the same time as the level cap increases.
Because you can’t run them above the level cap. Thus… you can’t do them if you’re above the level. I don’t know why that’s so hard to understand.
If some level 71+ want to do Mythics for the last 4 days of Dragonflight, I really CBA to care.
Like wow, they got some gear they’ll be replacing in half a week . . .
How many players with EA are even going to set foot in DF content anyways?

The season was essentially over when the 0.1% title closed. The only things you could push for now are portals, or I suppose KSM if you somehow haven’t gotten it already. Anyone who really cared about the KSM mount got it week 2 of the season, though.
If a person exists who is still struggling to get KSM then I would be happy to see them get the 10 level handicap they need to clear a few +4s and 5s.
You’ll likely be doing less DPS as a fresh 80 then you are as a geared 70, honestly.
