S4 Elite PVP Set - Not Updated to Reflect Winning Tier

I also want to bring up what was just posted in the this week in wow:

Season 4 arrives with PvP rankings reset, new gear sets, mounts, titles, and more! Earn the Vicious Dreamtalon (Horde or Alliance version) for Rated Arena and Rated Battleground, and the Draconic Gladiator’s Drake for earning the Gladiator: Dragonflight Season 4 achievement

If they meant for it to be just an extension of gear in s3 why even mention that

I appreciate you all providing further examples of how ambiguous the text is (as well as pictures for ‘new tier’ where a PVP set is shown), and how misleading all of this was.

Regardless of the response outcome, there is a lack of detail to align all players together in what it ought to be. Especially if PVP appearances are indeed NOT included, which seems asinine given we all had the opportunity to vote without any indication it would not impact a certain mode of gaming. I hope such text is not as ambiguous next time there is a community vote.

 :blue_heart:

Wasnt people questioning in the original voting threads if the thing applied for pvp sets and no answers were given as well?

Hope we get an acknowledgement from Blizz, if nothing else. Because at the very least, it would be nice to prevent this confusion from happening again.

Just wanted to update with something interesting here, so on my evoker I got past 1600 and received the Draconic Mark you get which you can trade in to Harrostrasza at the Parting Glass for your PVP tier piece.

I traded it in for the Helmet and received the 502 helm and it’s the unranked Crimson Glad set. (Purple in color). So they got the season 1 appearance correct just sad it’s not the Elite set which I think people thought they were voting for in the vote but turns out PVP’ers will receive the unranked glad set for the winning season from the vote when you catalyst your gear or redeem your mark for 1600. (Evoker winning vote was S1)

Clarification by Blizzard on whether or not this was intentional would be much appreciated. Arguing about whether or not people “deserve” prior season appearances really isn’t the point of this thread. At no point did Blizzard say this wouldn’t apply to PvP, and right now, it isn’t clear if this was an oversight or intentional, and if it was intentional, it kind of feels like PvPers were forgotten this season.

no official news from blizz about it?

Pretty much, I want clarification.

That is what is so strange, in previous seasons we’d have heard back from them.

Internal turmoil again because of Microsoft? There was an announcement that they cancelled Blizzcon…

It’s a marketing event and they have nothing to market towards their customer base. OW2 is dying/dead, SC is a dead series, HOTS is dead, their survival game got canceled after 6 years, WoW Classic just started Cata and Retail will be releasing TWW before November. They have nothing new to show or talk about.

This isn’t the first time that Blizzcon got canceled due to not having any products to show off

I’m sorry but you think it’s strange we HAVEN’T heard anything from them? PvP’ers almost never get responses from blues. They didn’t even clarify what the poll was in the first place.

It’s already Saturday and we all know what the answer is. The season 1 and 2 elite sets aren’t being added back in for this patch. The conquest versions of the set will be available for 12 marks of honor in the pre patch.

I also posted to the WoW, customer support, and WoW devs pages on Twitter. I doubt it’ll do anything but we will see :dracthyr_shrug:

You can’t compare SL S4 to DF S4’s tier set situation, you’re being intentionally stubborn and ignorant on this case and I honestly don’t know why.
SL Season 4 didn’t have a community vote for set transmog appearances, and DF Season 4 had an experimental vote literally mean’t to introduce something new and give the playerbase more power as a community to choose what their sets would look like for season 4’s PvE and PvP armors. PvE already could obtain all of their appearances through literally doing PvE content that was never removed or timegated, PvP on the other hand lost complete access to previous season basic PvP sets and Elite sets. So PvP armor literally being unaffected by the vote despite having nothing saying it wouldn’t be prior to release makes the vote next to pointless of even happening.
And it’s honestly baffling that you’re wasting so much time doing these mental gymnastics trying to gaslight people into just going along with your pointless narrative that we’re in the wrong and entitled for making a pretty safe assumption that the set we voted on would be reintroduced to both PvE and PvP armor sets.

people who are asking for clarification are being stubborn and ignorant

its right there in their face. the season 3 and 4 set is what pvp has. lol

if it was otherwise blizz would have fixed it IMMEDIATELY

thems the grapes

Bro literally get out of the forums, you’re literally just crossing your arms and not even listening to other people’s opinion on the situation. This is a unique situation, you literally can’t compare it to past seasons and situations because no other season has had the community as a whole vote on a season’s set in general, you turd.

it does not matter what their opinion is. the fact is blizz wants to preserve the achievement of the people who got the elite sets in the respective seasons, as they always had. it’s your fault you assumed things would be different.

It’s crazy to assume things could be different when Blizz was doing something different by holding a vote to shake things up???
That’s crazy.
You’re a narcissist dude.
