It will lower arena participation even more. Especially at the end of a season, if you could just not do arena, wait a few weeks, buy all the same gear with honor.
What? No one is going to be doing arena for S2, are you serious? If anything it will increase arena participation because people will have a chance to get better gear so they can be half-way competitive.

not true, people will still want to do arena for s3. s2 at this point is just catchup gear.
I tend to agree with this point.
PVP participation is low, but the answer isnt to make s2 be available for honor, its to lower the cost of the S1 honor gear as well as the s3 offpieces, that or increase honor gains. There should be SOMETHING to strive for in the process, but the current grind is crappy.
PvP isn’t worth doing because the sweatlords are already fully geared and you have zero chance at doing much as everything costs an arm and a leg.
It’s pvp, nobody cares. PvP gear is barely useful in pve. PvP gear should never cost more than honor after the season starts except for the newest items.
Actually a lot of PvP gear is close to best in slot if you check carefully but most people have no idea

This simply isnt true… its better than the greens and blues youll have from leveling, but its hardly close to “bis”
S2 staff is currently PvE BiS for boomkin, ele sham.
S2 dagger is currently PvE BiS for warlocks.
This change would be live for p3, where those items arent bis anymore. Im def not in favor of this change, but not for that reason.
you need to compare s2 with t6, not s2 with t5, since that is what is being proposed
s2 staff/dagger is a toy vs zhardoom and friends
Why would you grind 65k in honor to not use it in arena?!
Honor for near bis items would kill pve as you’d not have to wait for loot council or drops. You could just grind and be set and then raid log til phase 4 for ZA and pick up offsets.
Time to put on your pvp panties and woman up and arena farm for your pvp gear.

Yes. The apocalypse I’m sure. Might as well be asking Blizzard to let us eat babies as put last season’s gear up for honor. Nothing could be worse. Hell on earth.
That’s what happens when near bis items summon Gozer.
They could do S2 with either honour or conquest, just make sure the pricing is right. But Blizzard will just follow the #nochange solution and ignore any problem
