Right… because your software is going magically make your equipment run faster than possile .
Just because YOU don’t understand doesn’t mean the rest of the world doesn’t.

keep rolling your eyes but I have no clue to what you are talking about since you are the one talking about “BTW the 400 vs 500 wow is an example”. An example of what, made up stats? Because that is what it’s an example of.
yes, that’s why people buy monitors past 60hz otherwise refresh rate would be pointless but then you contradict those terms in other posts
I understand when someone makes stuff up to try to prove a point, even if they are general headed in the right direction made up stats and hyperbole help no one
Heck I’m rocking the regular 7700x and framerate in lfr (O_o) is still near 60 on 10 graphic setting. World boss fite does bring it down to high 40s but there’s like 80 players pooping spell effects, also at 10 graphic settings. Then again my monitor is only 1080p with 60 hz refresh rate.
Yay for old monitor
bro
it is time to upgrade that display
let that 7700x breathe

We’re talking 150-300+ fps on the best hardware (5800X3D) in a 40 v 40 PVP AV. The 7KX3D is upwards of 30% faster per AMD. Even a 144hz monitor that’s not going to give a better experience because your monitor will cap out. In XR you might get a bit more fps but hat’s about it.
Look I apologize, I thought you were a techie.
The 400 vs 500 were an example to point out upgrading won’t help in WoW. The monitors can’t display that fast.
Not sure what you mean techie, someone clueless like you are someone who understands you need a professional review to base an assumption on performance
thanks for reiterating on the 24th post what I said on the 7th post…but keep telling me you are not arguing with yourself
in a CPU limited situation according to AMD, there has been no actual professional testing with this unreleased CPU series in WoW or in any situation where you are graphically limited
but it’s a 34 inch ultrawide!
Browse the used market. i usually see the Alienware 3440x1440 ips ultrawide for the $400-$500 ballpark.
Most were in amazing conditions since they couldn’t get used to the aspect and went back to dual monitors or upped to 4k
Pixel density was his point. The resolution is too low for 34". Hence his upgrade comment.
Its 1080p at 34" you should NEVER have 1080p over 27" you can literally see the pixels. 27-36" 1440p. 36" and up? 4k.
And 60hz
Valid Point. Pixel density would be much more noticeable imo though. Speaking in wow specifically
i can’t even game on my tv at 60hz anymore
my LG is 120hz at 1080p…i lower game resolution to get higher refresh vs 4k
My monitor is only 120hz. Im using the LG C2 OLED 4k as a monitor. Like most gamers are atm since its the best deal on OLED and has Gsync. Its the best deal for OLED. Returned the 48GQ900-B for the C2. It was just too big and gave me eye strain. The C2 is the prefect size. At 4k in triple A games I wont get over 120fps on a RTX 4080 anyway
60 is hard to stomach unless I’m really far away. 75hz is the minimum for a smooth experience up close like computer desk distance. Ideally, 85-100 is my “sweet spot” between performance and fluidity.
I’m looking at building a gaming PC primarily for WoW but also for some Battlefield stuff, and a few older (~2 years) games. I still plan on going with a 5800X3d cpu. Am I still good to go with that choice?
Also going with a Radeon 6800 card too, if that helps answer my question?
Thanks.
It should be fine but tbh this close to launch I would go with the new X3D chips, DDR5, and the platform upgrade path.
5800X3D is the end of the road for AM4.
monitor works fine for me… don’t feel the need for super high resolution
running a 6600xt right now so might upgrade that so fps won’t drop around 80 people pooping spell effects
should be good for wow but i read somewhere that the frostbite engine used by battlefield doesn’t play well with radeons… tho i could be wrong
Thanks. I’ll look into that.
I know, but my build is currently at $2300, and that includes a 32" Asus monitor. On top of that Microcenter is going to charge $200 to build it for me.
I’m thinking the Ryzan 7 5800x3D will get me a good distance down the road given that I don’t play any brand new cutting edge games?
