Hello,
I was hoping to get some insight from someone, a few days ago, I updated my RX580 to 18.5.1 and now when I log in to WoW it says my card is not compatible. The game still works fine if I ignore the warning messages but it still shows up every day when I log in. Has anyone else had this issue? It's more of an annoyance so its not affecting performance but Blizzard lists the 580 as a compatible card and I haven't had any issues before this latest update.
Thanks,
Paish =)
Why did you update to an old (not the current driver)?
The message is about the driver version not the card.

What you need to do is go into Device Manager, find Display Adapters. Under that find Radeon RX 580 Series.
Right click and make windows update the driver for it. After that, make sure your Radeon software is up to date.
I recently experienced the same issue when I bought my Sapphire Pulse 580 (8GB) about a week ago.

Please do NOT use device manager to check for driver updates. These are notoriously out of date and not correct.
Go to the chipset manufacturer's website and check for updates there, at the source.

Ok then would you like to show him where to get said drivers?
If you have a look on most gpu sites that offer "software or drivers", they simply point you to the amd radeon installation, which in our cases isn't enough.
Also the drivers aren't out of date using DM to fetch a driver for it.
Next time at least try to back up any claims you try to make.
Reading the OP, you can see that he installed the radeon drivers, which in his case weren't enough. I experienced this issue too, after I had swapped gpus (with radeon adrenelin still installed, went from a radeon 7950 - rx 580). It simply didn't detect it until I made windows update it via DM.

Hey Paish,
There is a bug where those AMD drivers are shown as incompatible, but as you mentioned the game will run fine.
Updating to the latest driver version should remove the error.

If you go to amd.com and navigate the website to drivers correctly, you'll find
https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580
What's the first driver?
That's the newest. Release date 092618.
The one below it is what he has. Release date 052318.
Really, if that can't be found by going to the chipset makers site, as said above, then they should have someone else install the drivers.
Take your venom elsewhere. We see lots of people who say they updated their drivers in device manager who are overt a year behind.
The standard is to go to the card chipset manufacturer. Full stop.

Not a mention of device manager for updating.

I get the same error, and I updated to the newest driver. I just chose the option to not show the error anymore.
