Rustbolt Resistence

Does anyone else feel like it was put into the game purely to force a pathfinder grind that wouldn’t be fun?

Rustbolt resistance goes up super fast though?

Mechagon was put into the game to answer requests for a new timeless isle type experience. It was also the perfect location for a new mega dungeon which is really well done.

Of the two reputations it’s way more entertaining. If anything, I think Nazjatar was put in mostly for the sake of not just dumping us directly into Azshara’s palace. I don’t dislike the zone on its own merits, but it just doesn’t feel… in tune with anything else.

But Mechagon, Mechagon is wonderful. New lore, gnomes, sweet mounts, rares, gizmos and gadgets and jetpacks, what more could you want?

you spelled ‘awesome zone and dungeon to offer lot’s of replayability and different little puzzles and rewards to work for’ wrong

Mechagon and Naz are pretty fun to me. The only thing missing is a story. If they had quests and story progression every rep rank, these zones would be a lot more poignant.

I kinda feel the same. Mechagon makes sense. I know why we went there. I know what we found. I understand what’s happening and why.

Nazjatar just has so many more unanswered question and unexplained plot points. The only question I have for mechagon is “Where is Erazmin’s mom?”

I miss Operation Shieldwall and… whatever the Garrosh version was. I wish they’d do more of that type of story unfolding over time. No matter how much they try to build it up, when you can sit down in an evening and blitz through all the story content in a patch, it just feels insubstantial.

I don’t hate Naz, but I love Mechagon a lot more.
I just wish I could make a Mechagnome to run through it all.

Compared to Nazj where we start out and … WE’RE TRAPPED!!

-dun dun DUUUNNNNN!!!-

Azshara’s magic is too powerful! We’ll never get out!!!

…(oh but here’s a portal to get back and forth to Dazar’alor)

wtf???

I liked the junkyard. The fish filled hell? No. I hate that place and only reason to go there now is to grind the rep to max it out and MAYBE farm the rares for mounts. Eventually… several xpacs from now. Like I do when really bored on timeless isle.

They actually do explain that. Azshara can only stop teleportation if she knows about it. By using the city’s old teleportation network, similar to the one in Suramar, we can fly under her radar, so to speak.

Of course, it doesn’t answer the question of why she can’t just let the tides back in and take the Heart of Azeroth off our collective waterlogged necks…

I’m pretty sure all of the voice acting was already done. A lot of them use the same actor that did the vulpera, who is the same actor that does robin in teen titans/go, and several other shows, so he’s pretty busy. It could have been implemented to extend the grind, but it wasn’t just thrown in.

The only thing I don’t like about Mechagon is that it’s literally visible from Drustvar. How can it have been “lost” when there’s not even a fatigue zone between the island and Kul Tiras?

How dare you spout garbage about the resistance.

There are gnomes dying on the front! Everyday!

No not really OP. They wanted to add more so they just thought it was the easiest and laziest way to get the most bang for their buck.

The place though was done 'cause people asked for it, and more people are collecting and all that nonsense so they oversold it to be some mix of various past things but instead you get some sprinkled dailies, rare farming, and pseudo-engineering… yup… rreally fun. /s

Objects on map may be further then they appear? :man_shrugging:

Mechagon is fun (I’m a collector) and love the aesthetics to it even though I have to run the mythic to experience the underground mechagnome city.

Nazjatar, while beautiful, comes off as mechanically flawed. The amount of flying mob that interfere is worse than a the flying countdown sentry on Mechagon. Those same flying mob enjoy aggroing when you use any AOE. In fact AOE in general is bad. On my mage my goto “get away from me” ability is frost nova but that just causes neutral mob around me to go aggressive.

Nazjatar feels more like a grind, but it shouldn’t because that was the whole purpose behind Mechagon. It’s weird.

Reached exalted today, I love Mechagon.

No? You might as well say that for all reputations due to them being tied to the achievement. Did you expect us to not build a relationship with this new gnome society?
