Rushed content pacing is awful

Delusional

MoP is the third most popular pserver after Wrath and Classic
Cata is about the same as TBC

End of wrath is when they start being able to actually develop new timeline maybe?

Cata is a very very popular pserver. If they remove LFR and fix the dungeons people would definitely play. 100%

People dont want to ditch these classic characters / play wotlk forever.

Hell no, give us cata and mop

seriously optimistic, likely SW is over by August.

Yes, this. I loved doing M+ in Legion. Didn’t bother in BfA because of dungeon design. Also, the entire concept was growing a bit old for me. M+ isn’t new content, not really. It’s just pre-existing content with scaling and an affix whacked on. It’s not enough for me. I can’t keep running M+ on a limited set of dungeons throughout an expansion.

It’s why I have almost permanently switched to Classic TBC now. It isn’t because it’s objectively better. It’s just because I like the content better. It is better suited to how I want to play the game.

Yeah, the way they have handled TBCC the whole time gives me very little faith that they will get WOTLK right as well. They constantly contradict themselves, they say they are ‘listening to feedback’ but then they go and do the opposite thing.

The announcements get shorter and shorter with even less notice. What if they wait until we all hit 80 to make a bunch of super dumb changes to the game, like they did with all of PvP in TBCC.

Uhhhhhh yeah idk how you can say running mythic plus is boring because its the same thing over and over and then run Hyjal every week 16 weeks in a row.

Snoozefest

I’ve seen a lot of inaccurate posts on the subject. You are actually 100% wrong…

It has not been rushed at all, it’s been moreso the opposite

For example, SSC/TK was released originally with Karazhan. 5 months later BT/Hyjal we’re released. In Classic, it took 7 months from Kara for BT/Hyjal to be released. Sunwell was originally released 14 months after TBC and we are seeing the same timeline here in Classic.

So as far as timing goes, nothing was released early or on an expedited schedule, and only 1 raid, SWP, was released on the same timeline. All other content in TBC Classic was delayed.

I think I pretty much explained this in my post. It’s because I like the content in TBC Classic, but I don’t like the content in Shadowlands.

Both have a lot of grinding in it. But grinding is only bad if you don’t intrinsically enjoy the content. I love TBC dungeons, for example. So running them repeatedly isn’t a big issue for me. I quite liked the Legion dungeons, too. So running M+ repeatedly wasn’t an issue for me. Then came BfA. The dungeons were not good. So I gave up on running M+.

My feelings on this are so mixed. For me, personally, this feels on pace. We’ve been clearing current content for months at this point, I have several 70s, and I mostly raid log.

On the flip side, I have friends who play on a much more casual level and are progressing through older content still and really enjoying it.

On the other, other flip side. I have hardcore friends pissed off that the Arena season was cut so short (And that blizzard lied to us about extra Arena Points for the last week of Season 3)

There was this guy my dad worked with. He hardly ever said a thing, but in a meeting once, when something went wrong, he said, “You can’t make everyone happy.” One of the most profound statements I’ve ever heard. I think it really applies here. For most of the Classic player base, this pacing is about right, but for so many, it’s either too fast or too slow.

It’s almost not worth it because we know they use PVE pacing to determine the “Seasons” of arena, so with that in mind and knowing 100% there is just simply less raid content in Wrath than any other expansion… well the math speaks for it self.

As for the Skip to MoP satire I posted LOL yeah… As for would I play MOP again? Oh yes,. but should we be skipping expansion? No, and really we should not be advancing the timeline; that’s just ridiculous.

It feels very much like they decided the rushed pacing of SoM needed to be applied to classic. From my perspective, they seem hypertuned to listen to people who want things to change. Have some faith in the game and the genre.

Definitely feels quicker paced but I might just be old and slow now. My view may be slightly colored by the knowledge that this is the end of TBC, period.
