Hello, I am planning to get a new computer soon to replace my laptop. Currently my laptop runs the game at around 30-40ish fps with no special graphics except high character detail. The framerate can really tank sometimes, I have had it go as low as 1fps before.
These are the specs of the new computer I am getting:
CPU: Intel i9 -9900k 8-core
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Gaming OC 8GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Elite Motherboard
RAM: 2x8GB Team T-Force Delta II RGB 3000MHz DDR4
HDD: 1TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA
SSD: 250GB Samsung 860 EVO
With this computer, will I be able to run the game with max settings? Also, WoW is on a plug-in hard drive at the moment, would running it through that affect game speed?
Hey there Qima,
We can’t really guarantee a certain performance out of specific hardware, however the specs you have listed above do exceed the recommended system requirements for WoW. So you should have no problems running the game.
As far as having the game installed on an external harddrive, that won’t affect your FPS / performance but it will affect your load times when loading into the game or changing maps.
