Do you think that the trust system in final fantasy could work in WoW? For those who don’t know, the trust system in Final fantasy allows you to run dungeons with a full NPC party. Doesn’t matter your role so if you’re a dps it will auto fill with a tank, healer and the remaining dps. In final fantasy the NPCs are pretty good also, they do proper pulls and are programed to preform dungeon / boss mechanics perfectly, which is more than some actually players

Now this probably won’t work in some +20 key but maybe for very low keys or the base heroic / mythic dungeons and will help people learn the dungeon and the mechanics by following the NPCs. It will also help if you don’t want to sit there forever in que, especially as a dps. What do you guys think? would this work for WoW dungeon design and possibly even raids?

If there is going to be a solo mode, it should only be for quest purposes and reward nothing but quest progress and quest level gear.
I do not believe in making this game into more of a solo venture.
Have you ever actually used trust in FFxiv? It’s awful.
If they implemented this for normal difficulty dungeons only I wouldn’t personally mind, so people who don’t want to group with others can get legendary memories or quests done, whatever. Anything higher should be real people, though. Absolutely no mythic or m+ npcs.
I think this would be great for Normal and Heroic mode dungeons to be honest.
I have. It’s great to learn basic mechanics of a dungeon in particular for Tanks. The AI isn’t perfect but it’s good enough.
I don’t want this personally.
Just don’t gate campaign progress behind dungeons and I’ll get dungeons when I get to them in a few expansions (if I’m still here).
Although I am a strictly solo player, I believe that there needs to be something special about flesh and blood players in the game. The last thing I want to see is an even stronger equivalence between people and bots.
Ya my last group was a bunch of accounts badly controlled by one person. As soon as I dinged 50 … I dropped the bot group.
I 100% support this for normals and possibly heroics. It should be used for quests at the minimum.
Pick up a quest for say, Motherlode, get the option to que for the NPC dungeon run. Go in with npcs, clear for the quest, and continue the campaign.
I wouldn’t say an absolutle “NO” to M0’s either though. And do it in such a way to teach people mechanics.
Have an NPC /yell for interrupts etc.
The last character I’ve made and am leveling in BfA with a new player friend has shown me that Blizz chucking new players into BfA dungeons with no understandings of interrupts or stuns is a freaking joke.
Know what happens when a few level 15s queue into Atal without interrupts… those screeches go off and the wipes begin.
That was honestly a dumb decision to pit low level, ill-equipped characters and players against mechanics that can cause wipes like that. But c’est la vie.
