Runed Harbinger Crests Cap

Hi there, i play a lot of m+, i just got a Ara’Kara Sacbrood trinket from a +6 Ara’Kara. I don’t understand why there is a seasonal limit to the amount of Runed Harbinger Crests you can get, it feels silly to run a lot of mythic plus dungeons between the level 4 and 8 range, but i literally cannot upgrade the items because of an arbitrary “cap” on the amount of crests i can get in a season. Please consider removing the cap on all crests so people can upgrade their gear to their hearts content without any restrictions. Thanks.

Probably 2 fold:

  1. Take a break
  2. Play more later and keep your sub active

There’s a seasonal cap that goes up every week for all Crests.

And it exists so that you can’t do this:

blizzard gating to keep you playing. That’s all that is, trying to control the power curve and keep you coming back every week.

So you dont get pople in max ilvl gear week 1 then raid leader saying “why arent you ilvl619? Your benched”.

Go out for a long weekend with your spouse. Go out and take a tour of a landmark. Go out of town for the weekend and get a hotel room and room service. Too many dungeons is bad for your health.

OP is just sad he named his character “Nuclearcannon” but at the moment is more like this.

The hard part is having the valorstones

This is true to an extent. they don’t want people burning through 6 months of content in the first month. Its bad for player retention yes, but also bad for an MMO’s gameplay loop in general

i breeze through a month of content in a day (trading post). Their 6 month+ season really only has about 2 months worth of content for me anyways. once i’m bored with the season, i’m hopping on other games. good thing is i’ve got BO6 and DA4 coming right about the time i forcast to be done with my seasonal content in WoW.

I think they should increase the cap per week more for lower tiers and uncap at least the first two tiers entirely fairly early on.

I don’t even know if I had anything to spend my crests on for low gear by the end of the second week. Those tiers are really fast and the cap size feels like it’s more than you use.

I think it’s only useful for alts or people starting late at this point which is why it doesn’t really need to be capped I don’t think.

I do think runed should gain more each week than gilded also so you can catch an alt or new player up faster as people get further ahead.

There should also be a coffer key catchup system for weekly delve keys.

I’ve been capped on Valorstones since week one -.- wish there was a way to spend these besides the handful of crests we get a week.

I think like reputation vendors already do well with this. Like if I hit max level on a new toon right now I have a full set of warband gear, vendor gear they can buy with my main’s currency, about 10 coffer keys from rep rewards, a lot of free valorstones and crests.

I think like putting a few catch up rep systems early on would help a lot. Something like increasing the rep rewarded from the main story increases 10% or so each week the xpac has been out. So like once you hit 80 and complete it you already have access to a wealth of all that.

Just making your sparks will take up 750 of them

That is such a bad thing for bliz tho…! When people take breaks, they very often just quit all together. Breaks are how you break the addiction.

So it would seem like its in bliz best interest to let us play the dang game! (aka remove cap)

No, breaks keeps you from burn out. The burn out is what gets people to stop playing altogether.
