What is the go with the runed crest cap? literally capped within 20 mins of logging on and i only upgraded one piece 1 time.
You need more runed crests than any other crest to upgrade stuff but it has the lowest cap?
up the cap or remove it.

All crests have a weekly seasonal cap of 90. Assuming you reach the cap each week.
Also gilded are the crests needed to do the most amount of upgrades, given that myth track has up to 6 upgrade stages and all of them need gilded crests. Runed, much like Weathered and Carved only have up to 4 upgrade stages.

farm gear in 7+ or higher to save crests then upgrade

then whats the issue why are you max capping instantly when you should have gear thats already 652 to 655 already before upgrade how fast do you think you need to max your gear out when you can already skip 649-655 if you tried

Pretty sure its 90 per week and that would give you more than 1 upgrade

They might have gotten the achievement that lets you upgrade carved into runed, without knowing that those count towards the cap (which they do).

It’s the second week of the season, 2 days farming for gear is nothing lol
I’ve been farming +6 Cinderbrew since the start of the season for the neckpiece that drops there and I still don’t have it yet.
Wanna know what REALLY screws you over? I bought 2 enchanted runed crests- then didn’t get a fractured spark of fortunes for 2 weeks in the season so far. Now I’m down 90 crests, and stuck with no way to make use of literally anything below gilded.
Super frustrating. For the love of all that’s holy I truly don’t understand why you can’t just sell those back to get your crests back. Would solve massive issues for me.

Upgrade older crests. Done.
The 90 cap at this point is terrible. Currently Ilvl 672. I would be higher but I cannot make a crafted piece because guess what? No crests. Each week I do my mythic pluses, normal, heroic and 2-3 mythic bosses (prog). I have everything but weathered crests capped (will hit that this week). By the time I am done upgrading crests (trade up) and am very close to cap. This means if I get a piece in mythic raid, it sits until next week to upgrade. Then if I get a piece from vault, those two pieces get upgraded but NOT all the way. Vault pants are max and my belt is still 3 pts from max because I could not get enough crests due to cap. Time to remove the caps.
May 13th the crest cap is removed.
