Runecloth Gloves pattern from Qia in WS held hostage

Anyone else noticed this? Leveling up new tailors and trying to get this pattern?

On my server the NPC is camped 24/7 and whoever manages to get ahold of the pattern lists it on the AH for 50g.

I’ve been here for 5 minutes and I’ve seen 4 different people log in beside the NPC, check the NPC and log out again.

Can this pattern be made available from Qia all the time? This is ridiculous.

Leveling tailoring should change come prepatch where you won’t need those patterns

I just bit the bullet and bought the pattern of the AH. Less stressful to just go farm the gold.

It’s the same on my server (Mankrik). I needed two patterns, one for my mage and one for the BE spriest I’ll roll come pre-patch. I set my HS in Winterspring and paid Qia regular visits but never once saw the runecloth gloves pattern.

I noticed recently that it goes for the same price as the runecloth bags patterns on the AH, which I’ve been able to buy twice so far, so I just bought two runecloth glove patterns and sold the bag pattern, problem solved <.<

So, a half hour of farming is too much for the pattern?

Guess you don’t need it.

Took me 3 days to get the pattern. Now I’m thinking I will boost a priest, need it again lol.

Half hour farming what?

Any of the many, many 100g an hour farms.

I’ve seen several of those and they never pan out.

That’s probably less of a they problem and more of a you problem.

More like the market is extremely saturated/competition is really high. Guides be like “Do X task and get lots of gold if there’s nobody else farming this”

Sure.

That’s the reason.

I agree and we’re on the same server but we shouldn’t have to.

Making someone else’s miserable life rich? I’m good on that, no thanks.

I guess you’ll have to click quicker, then…

Better go to the AH and buy it then.

People have been doing this since WEEK ONE when they had to do it on like 5 different layers.

Where have you been?

It’s funny how Relodis here gets blamed for other players trying to game the system. Like it’s the victim’s fault that people are exploiting an exclusive pattern. It’s not like we’re talking about someone who doesn’t know how to get what they want, or is unwilling to put in the footwork, it’s just that the game was lost before it started. “Them’s the breaks - nut up or shut up.” Reminds me of a guy who farmed firewater all day offering to sell me some. “I’ll cut you a good deal.” I don’t want a deal, I can do the work just fine by myself, thank you. I think I’ve made most of my gold recently as a carry in GDKP. Kinda sad. Don’t really feel like that makes me much better than anyone. Honestly I prefer to just be self sufficient at this point. A lot calmer, doesn’t take long, and I’m available for guildies or just friendly levelers who want a quick group. Blaming someone for being screwed instead of doing the screwing isn’t the answer.

Qia is farmed a lot, yes.

I find more value in the Runecloth Bag Pattern, than I do the Gloves.

That’s an interesting conclusion, considering you said the following:

Players have a right to list items at w/e price they want.

Oh no, the horror of players logging in briefly to see if a Vendor has what they’re looking for and logging out!

No. The point of something being “rare” is to be “rare”.

No, it isn’t. You sat there for 5 minutes and gave up. I’ve (literally) sat at that same NPC for much LONGER than that waiting for the Runecloth Bag Recipe to show. Seriously, you’re not going to achieve much just sitting there for 5 minutes.

It’s always one of the more efficient ways to get to 300 which is why it’s being camped

Just camp a toon there, Log in every now and then and buy the pattern. Late night or early morning are your best chance. Good luck.
