Now, I could be off base and led astray by a few confused players, but I’m now upset/confused.
As my 60 druid approached time to complete my legendary crafting, I looked to see that the ONLY way for me to get the rune vessel (without being a leatherworker) is to buy it from the AH. So, WHY then, would it be so expensive (50k+) for each piece of gear!? You’re FORCING players to make this payment when they aren’t able to play often enough to make that kind of gold. You’re forcing players to level alt characters and then forcing an OPTIONAL aspect of the game on them, for progression gear. I don’t understand. How else am I supposed to finish my quest now? Other than to just grind out quests before eventually dumping ALL the gold in my inventory, just to finish ONE quest that is required for progression as well, and not even for a BiS piece of gear. I apologize again, I could be way off base here… I just think that this is a MASSIVE slap to players who can’t devote long hours into the game at one time, but still want to experience having decent gear.
just find a guildie or friend willing to make it for you if you spot them the mats
its not that serious
Sounds like low pop problems.
Everything is selling well below crafting cost on servers people actually play on.
Perhaps the best option would be to level up your leatherworking if you don’t feel like shelling out the gold to buy the legendary items? Could also take up skinning as well, making it basically a free legendary.
Before legendaries started being handed out to players - they were an expensive grind to craft sometimes.
Economy is part of the game. You should be able to afford it.
They’ll be less expensive as epics become more available with raiding and mythic dungeons opening up soon. Right now your average Enchanter hits a wall that requires the highest enchanting mat (comes from disenchanting epics, predominantly) to level to max, when they learn the enchanted leather/cloth/ore recipes.
Except now I would have to level another character to cap, as I don’t have a leatherworker. Up until now professions have been optional.
Could always get the professions on the character you have now. Or use the money made from the professions your character to buy the legendary.
No one said anything about “giving” legendaries. I’m a proud owner of MANY at this point well before Legion came around. Perhaps you missed the point.
It’s like 2 weeks of covenant calling vendor greys… alone. Add any type of other gold gains and you’ll have it in no time; even if you started the expansion with 0 gold.
The point is you can’t afford one yet.
So go make gold and buy one. Problem solved.
I play on WRA as well, it’s far from low pop, but def not new to price gouging the AH.
50k? Are you trying to by the ilvl 235 version(which you can’t even use) or something instead of the ilvl 190? On my server ilvl 190 rune vessels are like 4-5k.
Still is optional you dont need a leggo to play the game. Your self imposed constraint is of your own doing.
Plus doing the main quests i netted like 20-30k gold doin squat
The point. Is they are forcing an OPTIONAL part of the game on players, after what 15 years? Now I’m being punished for not participating? Why should I have to shell out my entire inventory of gold for a progression quest?
You’re not being punished. Grow up and play the game. You’re not entitled to the legendary. And it’s not being given to you like previous ones.
Legendaries are optional, I guess. However you still have to craft the first one for the quest, which is not, for progession.
Ill give you the quest part. Not sure what happens to the chain if youre stuck there, but i think you can keep collecting the ash. But if you do some callings itll wash out. I feel this xpac throws gold at you right now.
Why don’t i get to do the Alliance quests just because I chose Horde?
I’m not ASKING to be GIVEN a legendary, don’t be so pompous. Maybe try to see it from my perspective rather than just being shady. I came for a constructive conversation. You can find another thread if that’s how you want to be.
