Can we just get a vendor that sells all runes with no rep attachment nor quest attachment too it?

Not everyone wants to farm out every single rune, then do the same meticulous farm for all your runes on each alt that you want to play. While most of the runes are so far out of the way in an area where your not able to get to as that faction without forming a group and convincing 10 people to do it.

You can still keep the quests/discovery points for the players that want them, and let the folks that dont wanna do an absurdly long chain quest just to get 1 rune, then having to do the same chain quest for a different alt. (pally/warlock)

Some folks dont wanna travel 8 zones over just to get 1 rune or 1 quest item for a rune in contested territory that is ally dominated and need a raid group to do it.(Druid/warrior/shaman/priest)

ive already farmed out all my runes on my druid/pally i dont wanna do anymore for currently lvl 25, but i want to play alts.
Even thinking about wanting to make an alt, then thinking i have to farm out all the runes i may need for 25 then think about the next set of runes for 40… that does NOT inspire me to make an alt.

Edit: Grinding has never = fun, Quit being boomers.

i’m okay with this as long as they’re only 90% as good as the real runes.

getting the runes for most classes actually suck?

ive never said it would be fun, ive always said blizzard is terrible at balancing anything. Thus people complaining about balance.

Im complaining about QoL issues that can easily be fixed, or issues that could be avoided in the future. no more 10step quest chains just for a rune that requires a raid to do. It works the first week when everyones main is getting it, but not for alts.

Just get the runes you need and ignore the rest.

If you don’t enjoy the journey no need to make alts :slight_smile:

Maybe some account based vendor thing. If you discover all runes on one character, you can purchase runes on alts. Do the discovery the intended way at least one time.

That’s retail ideology.

Each character has a unique journey the player isn’t at the center of the universe in vanilla.

If one cannot commit to getting runes on an alt, then they do not get runes on that alt.

Its classic+ its no longer classic

That is not retail ideology. Literally Nothing is linked in terms of rep, and the grind is much much harder, and the Biggest difference none of the rep in retail is actually required for your class to perform well, nor is it linked for certain aspects of your class to come online, Like rog tanking, or interrupting for druids.

Yes it is.

Alts should not have ANY advantage over a first character on a fresh account.

Each character has an equal journey through Azeroth.

PS: SoD is a season of era, not retail lite.

Better make sure you can’t mail them any gold or gear from your main then as well.

Considering a lot are just copy/pastes this would be reasonable fot those acquisitions.
Nobody wants to both farming crates after they already farmed them for the supply vendor rune on their main lol.

New characters on fresh accounts can also receive gold from other toons - and it takes 1h to send regardless of whether it is a diff or same account.

Account bound rep, mounts, flight path, items, or anything would be quite detrimental to vanilla and should be kept in retail / wotlk.

How? explain to me, A retail Player, and a classic Player how its retail ideology? Again, rep is not linked on retail.

You do know that reference was primarily based on the storyline of previous Xpacks of retail right? not player power..

i mean it is retail lite, more of ascension lite, But either way, this change wont ever affect you.

because god forbid you actually play the game

while we’re at it, let’s just put all the BFD gear on a vendor with no rep or quest
and all profession crafted items on a vendor too
that way we can get to raid logging and /afk’ing in cities faster

Anything that introduces account bound stuff - from items, to ‘shared rep’, to buying X on alt because you did Y on main, places the player and not the character at the center - and doing so is what retail has been doing more and more over the years. Thus, it is retail ideology.

What reference, I meant those words quite literally.

It is a bunch of retail added to vanilla - but it doesn’t mean we should add more. It would be way better as just a normal era season but we are stuck with this so we have to make due and try to constantly make it better, which basically means staying far far far away from all these retail QoL.
