Rumours going around that Shadowlands only in 2021

They are locked into release dates; ready or not, the thing goes out on time for the almighty increase in shareholder value.

Yes, against a store trying to sell a yet to release samsung phone. Samsung did not get sued.

It’s ok not to trust them. It’s ok not to come back. And yes most of the game is inspired by other things.

But covenants seem nothing like what I played in FF. It seems like class halls, mixed with the same borrowed power we’ve already gone through before. Only with a ceiling.

Much of the look of things either looks like parts of Azeroth I’ve been in before or Castlevania. FF has a much different style.

I’d like for flying to be like FFXIV and you explore and have flying, but that’s never gonna happen as long as Ion is director.

I heard a rumor that Shadowlands is really the code word for a super secret project Blizzard and Square Enix are cooking up for a big WoW-FFXIV crossover…

… or was it the safe word?

Either way, it’s going to be totally awesome. Anime Orcs.

You need to learn reading comprehension then. It was not just a ruling that affected that one case.

The judge’s ruling was a widespread ruling. The case was about a smartphone, “but now applies to all products - including video games.”

But please, keep trying to think you “debunked” things.

All that from a “sparkle in the eye”? I know delusional gets thrown around a lot, but here I think it’s appropriate.

Exactly it maybe the last, I mean where else can they go after death!

Op should be banned for instigating fake rumour

Its against a store though, you’re talking about a case against a retailer, its not about the fact that it was a phone, it was the fact that it was a phone made by samsung that a store that has no bearing on the release date of the device. Tried to sell it without a firm release date. Samsung did not get sued for trying to sell a phone without a firm date.

You’re arguing that a company cannot sell a product with an expected date and delay the product without paying a fine and being sued, and your example is an article about a store THAT DOESNT MAKE THE PRODUCT!!! How dense are you?

I can’t take your argument seriously if your evidence doesn’t support your argument.

Oh my lord. I’m done. I’ve explained many times. THE HIGH COURT OF GERMANY MADE A RULING THAT BANNED ANY RETAILER FROM GIVING A VAGUE RELEASE DATE FOR ANY PRODUCT. PERIOD.

The case was about one retailer, and a phone, but the ruling was not specific to that retailer, or phones. What do you not understand about that?

And again, I’m done trying to get you to understand. But please, keep thinking you know more about German law than the German High Court and someone who’s entire family other than his mom and sisters live in Germany.

That is so NOT true. All they have to do is change the date and announce it.

Because you’re arguing that people who make a product can’t find a fault in their device prior to release and delay their product without meeting the justice of german law and losing their entire lives for it. Thats what your argument sounds like.

Samsung’s foldable phone was delayed after a firm release date was made and I don’t see them getting sued out the butt by the german government.

Oh? So we think that 8.3 is actually getting released now? Because not long ago, “rumors were going around” that 8.3 was scrapped!

Because. It. Is. Illegal. In. Germany.

Blizzard knows this. They gave themselves ample time to delay the product if necessary. There’s a reason the expansion date is 13 months away instead of 7-8 like normal.

If all else fails, they would cut content and release it in 9.0.5.

By your argument they don’t have room to delay because they already have a deadline of 12/31/2020.

There is no dedicated release date therefore there is no delay.

They have taken preorders and those have Dec 31 2020 as max relase date.

For various legal reasons that is the last date they can release it.

That is the room to delay. They take about 6-7 months for beta after the last patch. That’s how it’s been for like 3 expansions. Provided 8.3 comes out in Jan-Feb, that means the xpac should be ready in July/August. That gives them 4-5 months of wiggle room to delay if necessary.

And if that’s not enough for some god forsaken reason, they have shown with WoD they aren’t afraid to cut content and release it in a smaller patch later.

False rumors, they need to deliver SL until December of 2020. And they’ve been working with SL for a while now, i’m with hopes up that late August or Early Sept we’ll have the pre-patch ready

How is it a delay if we already know they gave themselves until the end of 2020? It would only be delay if they for sure set a time prior to 12/31/2020, and even then there’s nothing that says they can’t delay it past that time. Do I myself expect the game to not make the 2020 deadline? No, but I don’t see how a reseller that doesn’t produce a product has the same effect against a company who makes a product. What options does the producer have? Refund all the money because they didn’t meet their original deadline? Thats suicide for any company that wants to market a new product before its release. There’s more to the case than whats been told in that article, and I doubt its as stringent as you make it sound to companies who actually make products.

I’m not arguing against german high courts ruling, I’m arguing against your explanation of the law towards all companies affected by it.

How does the law effect a companies ability to delay a product that they are making?

With classic success I wouldnt be surprised if they take their time with next expac since most playing classic as a filler.

But it’s not even 2020 and it was just announced. All this “I heard on the interwebz bla bla bla” getting old
