Arent we getting a 8.3.5?

We also have a Scourge Invasion 2 (/shudder)

I wanna hug you. cough wheeze dribble snot

All of this over some BS rumor that lit off on the internet. Is this seriously the first day some of you have been introduced to the internet?

Made up. It’s given Dec 31 2020 I think or before. They won’t push it to 2021 I believe. I understand not having a summer release but I’m sure they’ll release it by late 2020.

I feel that is more because of the difficulty in tracking online sales of products banned in Europe. Like a lot of chemical products are banned in Europe that aren’t banned in the US, but people merely go online to purchase them. Because its nearly impossible to watch every single random person selling something online. Hard to monitor them all.

But major companies are much easier to keep track of.

The Pre-Order says on or before December 31, 2020.

This is their “safety” net to release it anytime during 2020 and not get flack from people who bought it, or accused of false advertising.

FF didn’t invent rogue-likes btw. And we don’t know what Torghast is even like just yet. So everything is pretty much assumption.

You’re kidding yourself if you think that cinematic, all four of those zones, and the base of these systems were all conjured between 8.1 and now.

In my case, book and art re-seller, lots of books have images that are illegal in other countries, that are not illegal in the US. ie in Germany they have laws against images from the Government that was in power in the 1930s and 1940s, those same images are often found in Manga and CCGs from Japan, which I have sold to Germans. Ironically, in reverse I have sold French Comics which were basically adult entertainment to Japan where genitalia hair and other things are illegal. It is still legal for me to sell and ship it to these places.

p.s. I live in the Adult Film capital of the World Chatsworth. And Often sell our locally produced films over seas.

edit:

I also sell a lot of banned films to the UK, where their laws on Adult Entertainment is stifling. Technically I can be held accountable by the UK as I am actually a British Citizen even though I am also a US citizen living in the US. But that is a minor issue all they can do is send me a strongly worded, ‘you will be held accountable if you return here’ letter. Which I have no plans of ever.

What’s your web address??? LOL!! I just had to. Carry on.

An assumption of what? I correctly assume they were not specific about loot systems, pvp gearing, and seem to indicate continued time gating of flight. It’s clearly very early in design, and I don’t trust this development team at all. Hard pass for me on pre order, and BFA is dead to me so 8.3 on filler holds no interest.

The images, new creature art and Covenants seem very FF to me. Really had nothing to do with Tower, or who originally ripped off Lord of the Rings to make a video game.

Do people really not understand that pre-purchases legally cannot be pushed back?

I mean, they can in the US. But Blizzard doesn’t only sell in the US. They also sell in Europe, and as such, are subject to European law.

So not only would they be fined out the wazoo for pushing back the release date past December 31st, they’d be subject to lawsuits, and they would be FORCED to refund any pre-purchase that was requested, regardless of any content the player had used. (So even if they had already used their character boost, made an Allied Race DK, etc. which as we know, is grounds for no refunds by Blizzard, they would have no choice). They would also not be allowed to penalize the players for requesting said refund.

There is a reason Blizzard chose the final day in 2020 as the date for release. Because, worst case scenario? It will be released December 31st. Best case scenario? They can announce it being released earlier than that. If they believed it would take until 2021, they would have chose a date in 2021.

The amount of people in this thread that don’t understand more than just THEIR country and their laws exists is astounding. Blizzard is not only bound by California law, and if you think that, you are very very very ignorant on how companies work.

I dare you to try to sell a product that violates a law in another country then claim “IT’S LEGAL WHERE I LIVE, SUE ME” cause you will be sued.

Ok so what other countries laws do you have on hand to show that they aren’t allowed to delay their own product?

Read back in the thread. They’ve been stated before. It’s redundant to say them yet again.

You mean that Germany thing that I debunked because the guy talking about it linked an article about a third party reseller who doesn’t have actionable authority to display release information on a product they don’t own or make?

I don’t mind a 2021 release date at all. 8.3 is already going to be pretty big and that will easily tide me over. What they simply cannot do is release 8.3 only a few months before the expansion, I like to think that they learned from releasing Naxxramas too close to TBC release years ago.

Blizzard HQ is only bound by California Law, Blizzard EU is bound by EU laws, each division of Blizzard in each country where they have a division, is bound by by the laws of the nation, but not the Company as a whole. Worst case, and this has happened with other companies, they burn the local office and technically stop doing business in those countries. However, Blizzard-Activision will hold their word to the letter in each country they have an Office in. As that is good for business.

For anyone using the example from Germany who clearly chose to not fact check the article provided. The article stated that a reseller was sued for selling a product without a firm release date of a phone. A samsung phone. Samsung did not get sued, the reseller did. So if you’re going to say that companies can’t push back release dates, you need a stronger example that actually pins the case against the producer of a product, not some 3rd party store.

“Debunked” No, no you didn’t. It was literally a ruling from a High Court in Germany. But please, keep thinking you debunked it. Since you seem to think you know better about German Law than their high court, you aren’t worth trying to talk sense into.

That. Is. Not. How. The. Law. Works.

Stop acting like you know how it does. Again, feel free to try selling something illegal in another country online in that country, then scream when you get sued because “IT’S LEGAL WHERE I LIVE!”
