Rumors of a WoW movie reboot in the works

If it is true, what storyline would you want to see… villain…

I didn’t like the first movie but was hoping it was going to be great. I get others liked it, this is obviously just my opinion.

If they do a reboot. I do hope they take the Arthas route. And do a better job at casting… perhaps CGI a tad better…

I think Gul’dan could be done better and introduce Illidan. Just a lot of potentially great ways to take the story. I’m totally ready to have some fun things to watch.

I liked the Warcraft movie, but it definitely should’ve been about Arthas. I think Arthas’ story is easier to digest for general audiences.

Arthas would be good with covering the Frozen Throne story. A story of loss.

I just hope they keep Duncan Jones away from it.

I hope they make it 90% exposition and 20% good movie.

I’m 100% good at math

Just skip to Arthas.

If you want to visit the background of it, then do the prequels later once you have an audience that actually cares.

lmao.

I do agree, doing a background or leadup to it for most people that are unaware of the history cause lets be real, most going to the theatres with their kids won’t even know WoW, just will see it looks neat.

I think just having a nice concise lead up to Arthas and then later having some prequel if needed would be the right move IMO.

If they do another Warcraft film, it’ll be tailored to whatever China wants.

And last I checked, China isn’t too big into stuff like skeletons, corpses, etc.
Don’t think Lich King would be all too great after it’s been censored / adjusted.

Maybe they have different standards for films though.

Source of this rumor? Who said it? Where did they hear this? Just curious.

China doesn’t have different standards so the censoring/adjustments would probably be what the world gets.

I think the WoW movie was a failure because they tried to do/cover too much and a bunch of important stuff got left out because of time constraints.

Also I think WoW based cinema would be better off being done through a series or three similar to GoT/Witcher than through an actual movie. You can not only get more/better PoVs in a series due to the episodic nature of the platform but you also have significantly more screen time to actually play with

Arthas, that’s easy.

I’d prefer a Netflix series on Sylvanus. With at least 10 seasons

I don’t know the source, I just came across it earlier this year and now a few more sites are reporting updates to it and so on. Google it and it should have some stuff pop up.

Just a rumour so it is what it is, thought it’d be nice to just throw around some stuff you’d want to see, villain, etc…

If they do Arthas, they should just make it a solid stand-alone medieval-style zombie movie. Playing fan service during the first one really killed it for me.

Create a good movie foundation and then build on it in future movies.

My sources say that is not the case. I’m never wrong on game or movie or book releases of any kind, ever. I call them when they come out even before the YTers do. And so no. As of right now, that is not the case.

WC2 movies should come out. Arthas is not in WC2 lore though. More orcs are in it. Must go to the Black Morass and have lore there.

Arthas for the 3rd movie.

honestly I rather they make a mini series rather than a movie. Like what league and dota are doing in netflix

Vladimir Kulich could play Arthas. He looks EXACTLY like that in real life. See him in the movie Ironclad. As Tiberius. Just Google that actor as Tiberius and tell me he doesnt look EXACTLY like him. He is also 6 foot 5 with broad shoulders, same build that Arthas had.

This actor for Arthas.
