Update: his announcements seem to only come when War Mode is enabled. So if you’re focusing on questing and storyline, disable war mode so he doesn’t annoy you like he did me. RIP War Mode bonuses 
Pleeeease can we mute Ruffious? I even installed Leatrix Plus, but it doesn’t mute him, only hides the talking head frame. This is ridiculous and shouldn’t require an addon anyway. Who thought having an npc repeat the same lines every few minutes in EVERY new zone was a good idea?? The audio even takes over during cinematics and “stay awhile and listen” sequences…… I almost don’t want to quest anymore

Yep. And it happens way too often. The repetition is annoying, but what’s worse is that when I was playing through the campaign, he talked over some key cinematics. It blows my mind that this passed the testing phase
